MotoGP » Mixed feelings for runner-up Lorenzo

I am quite sure Lorenzo, a fulltime motogp pro at the top of his game, knows when to battle and when to try and pull away at the front. In the end its the amateurs like us who question him. The way I saw it, Indianapolis is a track where the honda could easily gain ground on the Yamaha from acceleration. This point worries teams whose bike have lesser power, right from day 1. So it is a big ask to expect Lorenzo to slow down and let MM overtake and duel with him because it would mean taking even more effort to try overtake as he would then need to go even faster in the turns. What Lorenzo did was sensible, he just keeps the consistency that he already had and try keep it that way. The way MM rides, he couldve made a mistake just trying to keep up. I dont think even Yamaha expected him to win, and for him to be able to lead for so many laps and finish 2nd is a testament of his skill.

MotoGP » Pedrosa: Valentino is quite impressive

Watching some of the angles when Pedrosa was approaching Rossi, i felt he lacked the aggressiveness in attacking to overtake. It is as if he is not confident to take the apex before Rossi does. He is fast for sure but to get on the podium, just having a fast pace is not enough. Rossi's race pace is always faster because he attacks with confidence and this usually brings out a faster pace naturally.

MotoGP » Lorenzo blitzes FP3, Crutchlow and Redding into Q1

VKal: winning and losing is another thing but watching this guy pushing the limits plus doing consistent fast lap from FP1 onwards, the way he rides the M1 with his unique setup for softer braking and maintaining prolonged high corner speed is joy to watch. Something different to watch where the rest of the pack rides a road MC like a motocross MC.
Most of the rest except Rossi, who can ride it in both styles

MotoGP » Lorenzo: I completely lost vision

Saw his helmet when he entered garage, it was foggy alright. These things can happen. I had an ARAI fog up in a race as it was faulty. And very scary when u have bad vision in a wet race, i was approaching the astro before long and i didnt even realise. JLo couldve opened the visor abit but that screws your breathing with the air pressure, especially at his level where he goes around 300kmh on the straight. He looked impressive at the start though but tough luck.

MotoGP » Rossi: This is MotoGP - you can never relax

Good win Rossi! Most experienced guy on the grid, i was very confident he would win. His experience, really, was the edge that no one else had today. When u have a tough race like today, experience learnt from the past is always a reference and Rossi had loads of them. MM didnt and hence he fell off trying to beat the limit at all costs. The rest weren't fast enough in the conditions today.

MotoGP » Suzuka: Honda apologises for Stoner accident

A jammed open throttle cable is a serious matter, lesser riders couldve went into the barrier with more disastrous outcome (touch wood). Thats probably why HRC apologises. A stock throttle assembly would probably not have jammed, but its HRC racing throttle that they were using so yeah owning up wouldve been the right thing to do. Iit also goes to show that no one has ever pushed the CBR past its breaking point till Stoner came. On another note, Musashi Honda had been in another serious accident in the Asia Road Racing before this. They seem to be on a run of bad luck.
