MOTOGP » Nakamoto talks Stoner, Pedrosa, Marquez and more!

Nakamoto San knows the racing from bottom up. Unfortunately few things were too late in the case of Casey Stoner. Stoner shouldve been given a factory seat the season after he rode in LCR. He was already fast back then, he started his early GP days with a pole position on an LCR Honda. Lastly the private heart to heart talk came too late, Casey already made his decision and he surely has his plans set out.

Yup dacron, Stoner's rare ability is he can slide both front and rear with balance. Which why i have always enjoyed seeing him ride despite him clearing off into the distance. Also to add, Bridgestone wasnt special or much better than Michelin, Stoner made them so because he is able to slide them good. If Stoner was on michelin it wouldnt have suited him, because of the 'michelin slide' which can throw u off without warning. Similarly, not everyone can optimise the Bridgestone tyres, especially grip riders. It was sad then that Bridgestone tried to be a high grip tyre when its development was focused on the next world champion. As for Ducati giving him speed advantage when he rode it to world championship, u only have to look at his teammate and ask, why wasnt that guy champion? And then when Stoner left it was obvious what it took for Ducati to be champion.

Dave is right, McCoy slides more, he seems to slide all over the place. But then he wasted too much time sliding around, same like Hayden (in my opinion). Stoner and Rossi slid effectively, Stoner had the edge as he was able to slide but go faster at the same time. Rossi of course had his own talents too, just like everyone has their own strengths. Anyone seen Hayden on a motard? He is sick on one of those.
