MotoGP » Aggressiveness 'key to Pedrosa's title chances'

DamZen1: 14.7 Kg of fuel at the start of the race should be an ample amount of weight for the bike to generate heat in to the tyres. I think Dani's problem is that he isn't strong enough to flick the bike from one side to the other on a full tank, always thought the little chap could do with an extra 7-10 Kg of muscle mass.
U dont flick the bike using the handlebars, but the footpegs shifting the bike weight and momentum. U only counter steer wth the bars. Strength is not that important, endurance is. Pedrosa is fit enough, just that he isnt aggressive enough these days. If u watched him during his 250cc gp days he was a different animal. When he went to motogp, as a rookie he was too aggressive just like any other rookie. Then he changed to a smoother style, which was good. Then he rode in his comfort zone, losing much aggresiveness, which is the problem.

MotoGP » Hayden: We're beginning to see some positives

I wonder if RCV213-RS is just an upgraded RCV213-S which HRC is selling as a $200k sportsbike. If it is, dont bother with it because then its literally a production bike, go race with it in WSBK instead. On another note, Nicky Hayden is an amazing rider. There are lots of things that he can do on 2 wheels that I consider amazing, but motoGp speed is a different thing, different from what he is naturally capable of. He's a beast on the motard though, he would leave some of the best motogp riders for dead on a motard.

MotoGP » Crutchlow: Riding Honda is like a double whammy

Quote: “With the 'heatproof' tyre and having to open the throttle later as well I don't take the advantage where I used to, so I have to learn to ride in a different way. The Honda doesn't have good side grip and the tyre doesn't either, so we need to make it in other areas because the other guys are able to. This is a good example of misrepresentation. What he actually means that HIS honda does not have good side grip. It doesnt mean everyone's honda doesnt have good side grip. Look at stoner riding at Philip Island, u dont carry that speed through the fast turn without superior side grip. Look at MM too, doing 1.58 yesterday that required side grip too. Cal has to learn which feedback is meant for his engineers and which feedback is meant for the media. In any case, dont feedback at all because ure supposed to solve the problem. Theres so many other things that can be said, and they can be kept short and sweet. Like how his bike has so many other advantages, rather than its disadva

Cal should learn that the fast riders put their head down and race on the track as well as off the track. Talking too much outside the track takes away a chink of your concentration, especially when you start to believe your own negative comments. Focus purely on racing, not the media. The media can either love you, or misquote you to the end of your career.

Brain: Even Marquez said side grip was lacking and would be what they were concentrating on to fix between now and end of Feb.
I dont really believe MM's words because he is downplaying Honda's strength. If its for real that side grip is a problem for Honda with that kind of performance, then the other teams would be no-hopers in 2 months. At the moment MM holds lap record and Dani holds race simulation advantage. If they say all is well, that is not good for other teams because its too much of an advantage at this stage. Unless Dorna pulls the rug from under them again with rule changes, which obviously MM (and honda) wont want. So MM IMO has other concerns.

Well said and this Reminds me of CASEY STONER.
As much as I like Stoner's riding, he is as honest as Cal when he talks. That's their common problem.

MotoGP » Sepang MotoGP test times - Friday (Final)

Beard9X: Amakusa Iannone 1.59 on the Duke is good only? Lol his lap time is alrady under MM's 2014 record on RCV, not GP14.3. This forum is full of one-eyed MM/Honda fans.
I'm a Schwantz/ Stoner fan. I still feel Iannone's lap was good not perfect because Duc has a history of using supersoft qualifiers to make the timings impressive. No disrespect to Iannone though, I have high hopes of him on the Ducati too, after his brilliant performance last year.

MM did a 1.58, that is mind blowing! I've raced supersport there before and I can imagine what a perfect lap that was. Tomorrow it will only be test riders allowed, it would be fantastic if Stoner would do a surprise show up and do a 1.58. I know he's around... On another note, Iannone on Duc with 1.59 is good and Suzy concluding tests at 10th fastest looks positive.
