SwissJudge: Yes, amazing that after only two races almost every poster (except the deluded ones) has conceded that the WC is there for MM. I am getting a little bored of seeing the same Repsol Honda bike colour scheme year after year. The Repsol/Honda mega giant is in top gear again. I love Honda´s products but not what they have done to motogp. 1 mistake in the programming and bam, race lost.
Seriously, Honda at fault for mistakes by Yamaha?

The tires, as i mentioned twice previously, suits a particular set of riders. To elaborate, they favour stop-go riders. Motocross/ supermotard riders. Look at how Dovi and MM been riding (even Stoner in the past). they use diamond lines where they square off the turns, keep the bike upright most times i.e. brake late and hard, square off the turn, power out. Yamaha is burning front rubber trying to go with corner speed to compensate for its upright inferiority (braking and acceleration). This problem is amplified because of the single tyre supplier for obvious reasons that they cant cater to everyone. Rossi is capable of riding like both MM and JLo, but the Yamaha isnt. It lacks braking and acceleration power despite having almost same top speed as honda. Hence front the high pressure on the front tyres, as riders need to carry more corner speed to keep up.

MotoGP » Honda responds to Ducati’s Open decision


So, Open category teams can develop engine mid season. Ducati has the money and expertise to do that, much more than the other Open teams. Allowed more fuel too. Save cost? Not really.... Ducati could well dominate the open class. Also, the current rules will allow Ducati to catch up with the other 'factory' manufacturers who arent allowed to develop engines. A whole year (or maybe more) for Ducati to do so. Which is good, we need 3 competitive manufacturers, or perhaps even more. But to say the aim of the rule is to save cost, that's bullshit. Which is what Honda is trying to say, because Dorna is considering Open Class rule to all teams includig factory. Then Ducati will dominate for many years to come, like they did in WSBK.
