Lorenzo lost the race due to going onto the grass and a wheelie whilst trying to get the next apex. In that top flight, 1 mistake will cost u alot, and Jorge made 2 glaring mistake. The wheelie was unfortunate though, that was mechanical weakness and not his fault. MM though shows he is smart with his set up. Either he was smart or he has a fantastic crew chief. The honda just kept going at top gear till the braking point whilst Lorenzo's bike seemed to max out too early. its probably true that JL isnt good with set ups as Cruthlow once said. But a very entertaining race from top 2.

Im glad they make this an inline 4, they have always been strong in that direction. They make really crap production v engines, and for many years i just couldnt understand why they chose the v config throughout their motogp involvement. They made huge impact with their inline 4s with the SRAD gixxera performing well above their competitors in the production side. I've always felt they should go where they are better at. The v config is honda's forte and even in production class the rvf was a mean v4 so there really was no point in Suzuki trying to compete with honda in their game. Yamaha has shown that the inline 4 is workable and i really hope Suzuki makes and impact with the inline 4, be it screamer or big bang.

MotoGP » Dunlop: No MotoGP tyre bid


Dunlops have made some amazing tyres for production 250cc, i simply loved their GPR70SP. The D208GP supersports tyres were also good during my production 600cc supersports days, but nothing else after that. None of the superbikes were confident of the Dunlops/ Bridgestones. Pirelli/ Michelins were favourites, even till today. And Michelins suck at sliding, long history of the 'Michelin slide' injuring riders makes us wary of sliding it.

Codger: If they did, amakusa, Bridgestone would have to bring 50 different tyres. Practice would have to start on a Wednesday so that the riders would have a chance to choose. Scrap Qually tyres altogether, bring just 4....hard, medium, soft, and a wet. Maybe an intermediate for iffy conditions, if rain is around.
Or there could be another competing brand who could cater to the rest? If u cant cater to all, why bother about control tyres?
