WRC » Latvala: Nothing works this year

"Is it confirmed that Latvala will join VW? " There are serious rumours in Finnish press that the contract has been signed for 2 years with option for one more. Neither confirmed that, they are suppose to annonce their team in Rally Deutchland, but with Mikkelsen charged for 3rd entry and Ford uncertain future after 2013, there is probably no room for doubt.

WRC » Citroen in command after day one in NZ

The JML accident is 100% his fault, he went too deep into that corner, besides he probably didn't need to push that hard at this point, he was little mistaken with the starting order, that's all, and should wait next days for better figthing chances, 30 seconds are not disaster after all, considering all unknowns with the weather conditions. Correction: he seem to do nothing wrong, there was just some hole in the right of the corner which turned his car, quite unlucky again I guess. I don't know where Solberg crashed though, probably I missed something:) What is with Ford. Solberg didn't make decision for the tyres, it was Ford's decision, he just let it go I guess after his mistake in Greece to go with softs when everybody else went with hard, poor Solberg. But if there is heavy rain next to days, his chances with more soft tyres are looking not so bad.

Le Mans » Davidson: I was in an aeroplane out of control

There is one rule in every track racing which is the same - when a car is overtaked with a lap, it must give enough room for the faster car to overtake it painlessly without the driver of the slower car to do anything stupid. Le Mans is special case where drivers make thousands of overtakes for the entire race. I can imagine here for faster drivers, slower cars are like barrels - they are there and it is suppose to stay there without move when you pass by them. You can't wait every single car to move to other side of the track signalling you that can be passed, this would kill the whole race, it would look like we are watching hihgway traffic from police cameras... and even there accidents happen.

WRC » FIA confirms 2013 WRC events

Well, I don't follow f1 now, but few years before it was already far behind the times of Senna, Mensel and Schumacher with all technology changes. May be it is interesting for lot of people, for me personally it isn't. And I see WRC has lot of true fans, so WRC shouldn't be abondened, that was my point mostly, because FIA don't seem to care much about it.

Le Mans » Toyota takes pride from Le Mans showing

Good job, there is lot more to do though. The car is fast, but not reliable enough, which is normal for amount of tests they have made so far and none race. After one year they'll come back much stronger and we will be witnesses to a thrilling battle between them and AUDI. Who knows, may be more factory teams will jump in, there are some romours for Honda here and there.

Le Mans » McNish devastated by late crash

He's the one who managed to get the second Quattro to first position sunday morning, didn't deserved to lose the race this way, especially for last year of Capello in Le Mans, moreover it was his birthday. A victory would suit them, but that's race after all. Tight team all this years with many success stories.

Le Mans » Le Mans 24 Hours - Race results

@bod This is racing, and in racing I'd like to see fast cars, not economic cars. If it is about economy, someone could jump into with a solar car with 1-2 stints for the whole race to change only little weared tyres. I just don't know how they would run in the dark:) I believe the DW concept is to run at least average LMP2 speed and endurance, which didn't happen for the time it was on the track, otherwise there seem no point to me. It is only my opinion, but it just didn't looked at the right place around other cars. May be they could find somewhere else to compete, I don't know.

AUDI on top as ever, Toyota impressed with their speed but have lot, lot more work to do with the reliability to get it to the end, what we learned from Peugeot last years is that factory car can be sometimes faster than AUDI, but it is hard to beat the German's perfectionism. I don't know about DeltaWing, they weren't too much at the track, but 11 laps stint isn't impressive as LMP1s have 9 laps stints, Lola-Toyota and HPD did well too.
