MotoGP » Austin MotoGP: 'Great achievement' for Crutchlow, Tech 3

The Cal brigade is worse than The Rossi brigade i swear... Qualifying and FP means squat (you can see Qatar if you need a refresher), its raceday that matters and that is where Cal needs to improve even more if he is to show he deserves a factory ride. He is quite frankly way too nice, he sits behind riders frustratingly long when he has a better pace (again Qatar, far better pace than Dani everywhere but the straight) and tries to wait for a mistake, only to screw up himself. Cal is losing podiums on his own this way... I want to see Cal succeed but he needs to prove his merit first before he or his followers are crying for a factory bike. His M1 is more than a match for the factory RC213V on tracks where straightline speed isnt a concern. If he ups his consistency and can battle for podiums i'll be right there clamoring for him to get factory support too

MotoGP » Magneti Marelli in four-year MotoGP ECU deal

Wow reading through these comments I wonder if any of you have any intelligence whatsoever. Did F1 collapse after spec introductions? These spec introductions mean that more emphasis is going to be placed on actual engine, aerodynamics, weight distribution and chasis design, not only that but its going to cut costs significantly. When Kawasaki and Suzuki both bail out of MotoGP because its too damn expensive there is a problem that needs to be addressed. The best thing about this situation is that like Moto2/3 the rider is the difference maker, and thats how this should be, not the company who's dumping tens of millions into being a champion. I'd love to see HRC bail out of MotoGP to WSBK, only then will they get a smack in the face when they realize that Ducati is pumping the same kind of money into WSBK that HRC is into MotoGP to be on top.

MotoGP » Ben Spies, Iannone secure 2013 MotoGP seats

If Audi is going to pump a dump truck full of money in I think its smart for Ben to take a risk. With 3 very experienced riders under one umbrella Ducati should be able to start getting their **** together pretty quickly especially with the much needed cash infusion. Even better is if Ben doesn't like it, he can always set sail back to Hamamatsu, Suzuki would definitely welcome him back with open arms.

MotoGP » Texas to be included on 2013 MotoGP calendar?

Indy is really not a proper GP track even with the most seating and best facilities in the world. Laguna and Texas would be ideal even though they are very close together. I wish they'd revamp Daytona International Speedway, we have Bike Week and Biketoberfest (one in Feb, one in Oct) that brings over 500000 people and 200000 people and it would be a perfect venue for a race with so many motorcyclists. Alas the track needs a LOT of work to be up to snuff.

MotoGP » Ben Spies reveals tension with Yamaha

@Putin This is from Bikesportnews A source inside the project told there are currently two paths to the development of the new MotoGP bike. One is to have a a test team, solely working on the GSV-R and have one rider wildcard at various events. The second is to re-instate the Suzuki World Superbike team and whichever rider is chosen for that will also do the test and development work on the GSV-R with less MotoGP appearances. I hope Ben goes to Suzuki personally he has had a great relationship with them from AMA days.

MotoGP » Ben Spies reveals tension with Yamaha

Ben should publicly roast Lin Jarvis since its pretty damn obvious we know its him. He clearly doesn't want Ben to get anything decent, nor does he want anyone to be a threat to Lorenzo no matter how much he may say he wants the triple crown. I wonder if names started getting named if Yamaha starts to rethink to keep him in leadership I hope Ben goes with BMW or Suzuki and comes back to grill Yamaha for how they've treated him.
