MotoGP » Who’s on the up in MotoGP 2012?

@Don-R I really REALLY doubt Dovi will go to Ducati, he wants to win a championship and I think its safe to say that if Rossi is bailing because of lack of faith then Dovi isn't going. Stoner, Melandri, and now Rossi have all jumped ship from Ducati, and unless Audi can make solid guarantees I think we'll see him staying with Tech 3 or moving off to WSBK if he can't field a competitive factory bike.

MotoGP » Valentino Rossi: 'Hard to concentrate' for poor positions

There is no question that Valentino has a very smooth riding style, similar to JLo but the Ducati requires someone to literally wring the neck of the bike. This is why Casey Stoner would either "win it or bin it", he was riding the hell out the thing, and its why Casey on the Honda has been quite a monster. Valentino and the Ducati dont mesh, it doesnt help that Ducati cant get updates for the damn bike out which doesnt help. If they listened to Vale we'd be having a different discussion but they simply havent. According to Superbike Planet ,Valentino for 2013 has the Ducati, a return to Yamaha sans Jeremy Burgess and company, or a third option which is the rumored factory Honda in Gresini colors. If i were Rossi i'd go back to Honda, if only to keep Burgess and his squad, and to finish his career the way he started, riding a factory bike in a satellite team

MotoGP » Ben Spies accident caused by 'broken swingarm'

@jack Its pretty common knowledge now it seems that Ben is going back to WSBK to race for BMW, with BMW Italia saying its a 99% done deal. According to the MotoGP commentators apparently Ben has a 2 year deal, the first that will put him back in WSBK and in his second year if MotoGP has a spec ECU in 2014 (cost is the major reasons apparently) he'll be racing the factory MotoGP bike presumably next to Marco Melandri.

MotoGP » Pedrosa from Lorenzo in first US GP session

@King Kenny We know nothing of went on right now with Spies but Stoner has openly called out Dorna on a load of **** thats essentially destroying the series as we speak, the media for being as ridiculous as it is sometimes, and for factory teams to do stupid things to their riders. Remember the fallout between Rossi & Honda? Hayden & Honda? Stoner & Ducati? Now Rossi & Ducati? These things happen, and its not pretty. Ben hasn't given his reason for leaving Yamaha so anything being said is 100% pure speculation, because last I heard prior to Spies own announcement, he was still the front runner to keep his seat at the factory team.

MotoGP » Ben Spies steers clear of 2013 talk

@quile Maybe because he wasnt 100% certain, or maybe he's waiting for someone... Ben hasnt stated he wont be out racing for 2013 so I think he's waiting for an announcement of another party, like BMW or Suzuki. If he wanted to quit racing I think he would have announced it now a la Stoner. In other news, according to SuperbikePlanet & GPone Nicky Hayden is staying with Ducati and has a contract extension...queue rumors of Rossi to Yamaha 100% certain

MotoGP » Dovizioso sends message with podium hat-trick

@Jack Mordino There is some young talent in Josh Herrin who rides for Yamaha and Blake Young (22 & 24 yrs old) but there is no rider that ive seen watching the AMA series that is as dominating as Ben Spies was at his age range, by the time Ben was 24 he had won 3 AMA and a WSBK championship. Suffice to say Ben Spies is the best there is for the US other than Nicky Hayden, and since Ben is riding one of the best bike in the paddock, expectations are pretty high. Not unfair though seeing as how he did pretty well the first two years in.

MotoGP » Nicky Hayden: No regrets…

@Don-R That is true, it would be an absolute catastrophe if they did that but we'll just have to wait and see what happens but i think you're right the tables seemed to have turned in Hayden's favor, or maybe they are waiting till Brno when Rossi is supposed to make his decision. @Krusty The Klown Nicky would be a strong competitor in WSBK, Checa, Melandri and Biaggi are at the top of pile right now, all former MotoGP racers. If Nicky moved and won a championship, i think he'd be the only rider to win both crowns ever.
