MotoGP » 2016 MotoGP ECU to be ‘equal, easy, safe’

cfsteezy: Seeing how supersport and moto2 bikes lap roughly 2 seconds slower without any electronics makes the millions spent on rider aid development almost seem pointless. I would like to see a gp riders lap time without aids and then with. Like the front 4 guys. I am sure they would turn in some impressive times that would be extremely similar to the time with aids..
You can't just turn off the so-called "aids", the bikes are built around the electronics. They would run out of fuel and not be able to complete a grand prix distance without them, for example. What they need are completely different motorcycles that are not built with advanced electronics in mind.

MotoGP » MotoGP announces control ECU from 2016

Thank you Dorna! Take that anti-Dorna brigade! Now that Dorna has got the factories back in line, Honda won't have control over the sport anymore. No more unnecessarily expensive electronics, no more boring racing, but it seems the Dorna haters wanted that all along? Shame on you Honda supporters. For once Honda won't be allowed to spend their way to success, now maybe satellite teams will be able to fight with the big boys for a change like in the old days.

WSBK » Ben Spies plays down WSBK return rumours

@ reinmacre Ben hasn't lost his head at all, he's simply not good enough - end of. If anyone thinks that Ben, after going head to head with Mladin in the AMA for years is mentally fragile then they don't know as much as they should. The fact is that MotoGP is leagues above any other road racing championship out there in terms of competiiton. How is it that a 40+ year old Carlos Checa could win the WSBK championship a couple of years ago? That would never happen in MotoGP in the modern era. Ben Spies is good, but he isn't good enough for the premier class, it's that simple. And please, do you actually think the superbikes resemble the road bikes that they're based on? They are closer to prototypes than anything. It would be better to compare MotoGP bikes to Superstock 1000.
