@fcs Lol, so one lucky win in 2011? How about all of Lorenzo's points and podiums? Or do they not count? Rossi with a bad shoulder and broken leg did better than that!

Outside of his rookie season in 2010, Spies has not impressed anyone. At the end of 2011 Lin Jarvis himself said that Ben was not good enough, and 2012 was appalling when you look past the bad luck he had... He's a great superbike rider, but at best an average GP rider.

I must admit that Ben has proven me wrong. And by that, I mean that he's actually doing even worse than I thought he would. I bet Yamaha are glad they got rid of him. You can't have a factory bike and not expect to at least try to improve.

Ben's head is as hard as they come - he managed to beat Mladin head on in the AMA after all The problem with Ben is that he just isn't good enough to be the best in Grand Prix, just as Bayliss wasn't or Edwards or Haga.

Ducati was built around 2 cylinder engines and they don't want to get with the program of the other manufacturers so compromises are made for them. Why should all the other manufacturers have to scrap their litre bikes in order to beat a manufacterer with clear favoritism? In order for WSBK to survive, the Ducati farce must stop.

Spies may not have as many reliability problems this year as last year, but you can bet he'll be a lot slower than he was last year. If he struggled on the best bike, what will he do on the worst bike? Dark days ahead for Ben.
