MotoGP » Honda decided against Stoner MotoGP return?

Guna4699: It's pure bull **** talking about Marc getting scared about stoners comeback possibilities or Honda denying Stoner comeback just to save Marc's face. Stoner is talented, who said Marc isn't? Marc has the attitude and that mental edge to survive in motogp, who said stoner has that?? Does Stoner knew anything about consistency or facing rivalry with spirited racing without acting like a cry baby?? It'll be better for stoner if he doesn't come back because it's not like testing. Racing will have more than one bike in track. Marc doesn't give a **** about who is in front, he'll go for it and stoner if he comes back will have to face Marc as another version of young Rossi... Dive bomb under brakes underneath Stoner. we know what happens next...

Stoner hate all you like, but the fact is stoner on form on the same bike as Marquez you would see Marquez with a lot less victories, there is a reason why they have pedrosa in the team. Pedrosa is a steady eddy no hope of winning the title hes good option for 2nd,3rd and 4th places consistently, Pedrosa is a team point builder and wont interfere with Marquez winning and building points for the actual title. If you had an on form Stoner in a team on the same bike as Marquez the team would still build big points but the chances of an actual champion title diminish when you throw in the Yamaha boys and now the ducatis boys in the hat. The last race proved that its all about the bikes Marquez is not as awesome as hes made out to be, there are plenty of riders capable of beating Marquez on a regular basis given the right bike. The fact is hate him all you like Stoner is still a top rider and its a crying shame he retired so early. I for 1 would like to see him back. With the performance o

....Continued With the performance of the ducati's seemingly back on form, Rossi and yamahas on form and the honda's not looking quite so dominant, A stoner return would be the icing on the cake. The last race was one of the best races in years, An on form stoner on the circuit would only make it better. I really hope the last race wasn't a one off that was some of the first actual "racing" that we have seen in a very long time.

F1 » Fernando Alonso to miss Australian Grand Prix

Once upon a time racing drivers did such things as get burned half to death and then still get back in their cars despite being far away from medically fit. I suspect Alonso wants to race but has basically been told no by Mclaren because of the health and safety / political correctness nonsense, If he should have a smash in that race Mclaren and Ecclestone and his cronies would get a severe bashing from the media. The decision should be on the driver and even though its being hyped as being his decision you can bet you bum hes been told to announce it in that way. Formula 1 Drivers are not unlike premier league football nancy boys these days, oh well at least the bike racers are still man enough to ride with injuries.

F1 » Fernando Alonso to miss Australian Grand Prix

ProfessorX: there is no point in risking life altering injuries for the sake of a bottom of the order result. It's called common sense. Cost vs Benefits, and it would be senseless for him to race in the first round given the current pace of Macca's
Not true at all, what happens in testing is not necessarily what is gong to happen in the race and any "racer" will be keen to get whatever points they can from the outset the reason he is not running is purely down to how F1 and Mclaren would look to the public in the event he has some sort of crash. As it is he may well have risky injuries and may well of made the decision for himself not to race but the more likely scenario is that he has been "advised" by medics not to race as you would expect and has been "told" he's not to race by Ecclestone and Mclaren and then been ordered by Mclaren to say he is "following" the Medical advise not to race.
