F1 » Ferrari confirms Marmorini exit

btr100: This was inevitable. Ferrari always had the most powerful engine. Maybe not the most efficient but most powerful. That is a must. This year is a diseaster.
I wouldn't say Ferrari always had the most powerful engine. Their engines in recent seasons have perhaps been the best all round, but Mercedes have always had the edge engine wise, as well as Toyota and BMW.

F1 » Axed Caterham staff hit back at team

Does appear that the new owners of Caterham went in all guns blazing in order to save costs. That may have been necessary but we shall see if they acted within the law. It's certainly not good to have dirty laundry aired in public but it is a tried and tested legal practice that can pressure the defending party to settle out of court.

F1 » Hamilton cost Rosberg win chance – Wolff

Barring mechanical disaster (which of late isn't too far fetched), one of the Mercedes pair will easily win the title. It's all well and good saying Nico would have won the race had Lewis let him through, but that entirely depended upon him immediately passing Alonso which is by no means a guarantee. Lewis also made the reasonable statement that if Nico were able to close in he would allow him through. Sky F1 did some analysis, which in my view heavily favoured Rosberg, but it confirmed that Nico would have finished second. Rosberg was bewildered after the race as he did not know the full details as to why Lewis did not move over. Lewis made the right call, as confirmed by the majority of the F1 paddock and fans. End of, move on, bring on Spa!
