F1 » Hulkenberg: No warning before front-wing collapse

Shame Nico's run os strong points finishes came to such an abrupt end. Glad he walked away unharmed. @Theeagle Given recent events your comment may be apt, but it's important not to lose focus amid tragedy. Bianchi's crash was a classic 'wrong place at the wrong time' situation, however you're right in that F1 and motorsport in general is inherently dangerous. Although one cannot be complacent, the sport can still be proud of the level of safety it has achieved over the years and this will continue to develop, not least due to the lessons learned through Jules' untimely passing. On a side note, it's worth remembering Kenny Brack's enormous IndyCar crash in 2003 in which he survived an impact 200+g (on his return to racing he also went on to record the fastest qualifying time at Indy in 2005!). The human body isn't designed to survive those sort of g-forces, but the cars are.

F1 » Raikkonen softens on Ferrari or nothing stance

LaughingGas:
Strider: @ProfessorX ''why do the commentators keep talking up Bottas when hes done nothing to prove himself?'' May be due to the fact he has consitently had the upper hand of his more experienced team mate over the last couple of seasons. He's also scored points in all but three of the last 27 Grand Prix in which he has competed. I personally think he's done plenty to prove himself.
Errr 77 points verus 74. Hardly ground braking!!
Bottas missed the opening round due to injury.
