MotoGP » Redding reacts to Gresini Aprilia deal

Realist: I want him to get the factory 213V so that he can put up or shut up. If he gets the factory bike, yet fails to impress, it'll hush all of the nonsense about him being able to take it handily to Marquez. If he does well, then it'll hush those who doubt(ed) him (including me....I'm just not convinced that he's THAT good). Either way, he needs the bike so that we can "see what he's made of" and move on.
Hey realist you need to get real! Why you have so much a problem with the best british rider we have had for 30 years? Wait ans see dude!
Very similar sentiments were said about Crutchlow. I distinctly recall Crutchlow being talked about as if he was the next Rossi. Not quite....

MotoGP » Crutchlow out early with shoulder pain

BeardedWarrior: he only got the LCR ride due to the new British sponsor wanting a Brit . looks like he is riding the full open bike now anyway if you compare the speeds and times with Dovi and Ianone, Cal's times look more like Yonny's
This, Dovi and Iannone are on full factory bikes, who knows what Cal is on but it ain't the same spec. Did I hear one of the commentators suggest in one of the practice sessions that rumour has it Cal will be replaced after silverstone?
Hmm interesting comment. The factory Ducati Crutchlow is riding is for some reason technically inferior to the Pramac bike? Seriously doubt that. But if that is the case it says something about how Ducati feels about Crutchlow versus Iannone that is not at all favorable towards Crutchlow. If that is not the case Iannone deserves the better bike.

MotoGP » Cal Crutchlow leaves Ducati for Honda?

tedleaf: so someone pleade tell me/explain what lcr would evrm consider him ?
Maybe because the only guys to finish ahead of him in the standings last year were on factory bikes? Or the fact he out qualified Lorenzo and Rossi on more than one occasion on an inferior Yamaha?
Crutchlow and Rossi shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence. No comparison in talent or class of person. A *great* charismatic racer versus a very average whiny arrogant rider.

MotoGP » LCR Honda confirms Cal Crutchlow

rbr46: We saw what he can do on the tech 3 but there really is no excuses next year. When cal teamed with Dovi at tech 3 he got his a** handed to him.
I agree there will be no excuses next year and Cal really will need to turn up, however, to say Dovi handed him his a*** is a bit much! as Dovi had superior equipment (remember the buying his own brakes saga) than Cal, and also far far more track knowledge as having come through the ranks at the same tracks for years. @conga, cal had been at tech3 the year before Dovi, but I get your point.[\blockquote Excuses excuses on and on... AD has simply shown himself to be a better rider, who also carries himself with way more class than CC.
