MotoGP » 'Productive' MotoGP test for Stoner - no wild-cards

He is doing well in the cars and enjoying it despite getting punted off by others. I still think he will do Bathurst in the main class this year as they have the spot booked. Since he is racing in the Dunlop series at the same meeting he will have over a hundred of laps under his belt at the track before raceday. He is having too much fun and has been welcomed with enthusiasm by the V8 fans and 99.9% of the drivers (there was a young bloke a bit upset at being used as a braking marker by Stoner the other weekend. He is the first that Stoner has punted off though!). There is zero incentive for him to risk his life racing bikes.

MotoGP » Wet start to Casey Stoner’s MotoGP return

Different universe than me Livio. If I remember he jumped onto the Honda and within 64 laps had gone the second fastest ever at that track and only beaten by his time on the Ducati two days beforehand. Then he absolutely thrashed the rider the bike had been designed for for the entire 2011 season. When he announced his retirement in 2012 he was thrashing Pedrosa again. As for 2007, he tamed a bike nobody else could. Even when he was on the satellite Honda he was beating the satellite guys on a regular basis.

MotoGP » Wet start to Casey Stoner’s MotoGP return

Realfan, the number of people who dislike Casey is tiny compared to those who like him. I have yet to read a negative from anybody in the paddock apart from Rossi. People say he moaned but when I challenge them to give me an example I can produce exactly the same from any number of other riders. Casey has done nothing but be honest and that itself makes him one of the best ever.

MotoGP » Phillip Island hoping for Stoner appearance

Dreaduk, you have not the foggiest what you are talking about. Casey has won some of the closest GPs in history after going toe to toe with the best. He specifically joined V8 Supercars to get the close racing that was lacking in MotoGP. Your anti Australian bias is obvious and you sprout rubbish that has no basis in fact. He has the fitness and ability to concentrate that are the two essential ingredients of a good car racer. So you are telling me that an F1 team would not jump at the chance, and the great publicity, to have him do a test drive? Of course they would, if he was interested which he isn't.

F1 » Tost keen to hold on to Ricciardo

Ricciardo outperformed Vergne 12 races to 8 in 2012. 7 races to 3 in Daniel's favor so far this year. So those who say Vergne is better...why? Lets get rid of Button! Totally useless with only a single point all year. After all, we are having a go at Ricciardo for not having a podium and claiming that makes him no good for a top line team. Nothing to do with the inferior car.

MotoGP » Phillip Island hoping for Stoner appearance

As per usual the Stoner haters come out and dribble all this rubbish without one iota of knowledge to back it up. Stoner could get a test drive in any car in any series he wanted. He choose the series he grew up with and allows him to stay at home. You would have to be a total ***** to believe that if he asked any of the current F1 teams he would not get a test drive. As for DTM, why would he race in an inferior series overseas?
