F1 » Pic finds 18-inch tyres ‘a big challenge’

It actually makes them look like F1 cars again and not over sized Go Carts. Hopefully when the chassis is designed for the tyres we have far more reliance on mechanical grip rather than aerodynamic. That has to make the racing more interesting as the "bad air" problem we currently have, where a car can be much faster than the one in front but not be able to pass, will be minimised.

MotoGP » Marc VDS claims 'binding' Jack Miller contract

A letter of intent is not a contract. A letter of intent usually has a use by date. If that date has come and gone then the letter of intent is null and void. At not stage is a letter of intent a binding contract. If Jack Miller says he does not have a contract then what qualifies you lot, without the full knowledge of the circumstances and negotiations, to state as fact that he does have a contract?

MotoGP » Marc VDS claims 'binding' Jack Miller contract

No I am not just saying there is no contract because Miller is an Aussie. I have negotiated Letters Of Intent and Contracts over my many years in IT and there is a huge difference. "Letters of intent usually come into play during the negotiation phase of a deal - whether it's a joint venture, a partnership or an agreement to render services. They are often used to show good faith in the negotiations process, assuring each party that the other(s) are committed to a successful outcome. In many transactions, the signing of an LOI signifies the official beginning of the negotiations process."

F1 » Webber: Ricciardo win ‘a big step’

There is not a mean bone in Webber's body and he has expressed genuine admiration for Daniel for many years. DR has been like a machine pre season, practice, qualifying and the races. Very very few mistakes, consistent lap times and aggression where needed. I laugh at those who call Webber a journeyman. He was chosen year after year by the best team to drive the best car because he was one of the best. Saying he was never World Champ material. when he has been up against the freaky performance of Vettel, is totally baseless! There is not one iota of evidence anybody else would have done as well as Webber in the same team as Vettel.

MotoGP » Jack Miller ‘pissed off’ by Penalty Points

Here we go, character assassination based on tidbits of information. Miller blames everybody else? Yep, I am sure he has said, "If it wasn't for the pathetic riding of the other riders, I would not be leading the championship. It is all their fault!". He is an Aussie who has not had the PR grooming to turn him into a clone. I would rather listen to an Australian expressing reality than a robotic European with the personality of a brick. I remember similar was said about Barry Sheen when he first appeared on the international circuit.

F1 » Ricciardo eyeing Monaco pole

Dan had made Vettel look second rate so far this year and it has absolutely zero to do with any mechanical issues. He is yet to make a mistake in practice, qualifying or the race except for a single front tyre lockup. He was just behind the Mercedes pair in dry practice so why should he not be confident of pushing for pole? If he was any other nationality than Australian there would be zero negative comments.
