So people know more about that move at the Corkscrew than Rossi himself. Despite the evidence on the video it was somehow a disadvantage for Rossi and that he never touched Stoner. That contradicts everything Rossi has ever said about it. Apparently, according to the expert on here, Rossi was wrong when he said he was totally out of control and that he hit Stoner. Somehow Stoner was already having trouble getting around the corner? First time I have heard that porky pie. Must be hard to see properly through yellow tinted eyes.

If anybody is interested. This is the first time he has driven a full spec Aussie V8. It is this (and last) years winning car. He was using old tyres. At the end of his three stints he was about 2 seconds off this years pole which is pretty damn good considering the older tyres and much higher temp. They were not going for lap times but making radical adjustments so he could start to understand how to set up a V8 Supercar. This car, or its sister car of Craig Lowndes, would be what he uses in the Dunlop series next year if he decides its worth trying. Today was all about helping him make that decision. These cars are a lot harder to drive than the new Cars For The Future that have been introduced for 2013. Last time he drove a V8 Supercar it was the slightly detuned test rig. On that day he did faster lap times than Craig Lowdnes, the multiple champion.

I would love anybody to point out a single time where Casey brought up the subject of Leguna Seca BEFORE being asked about it. Just once! And for the upteenth time, it was not a deliberate pass. It was a mistake by Rossi. It was a superb race by Rossi but too dangerous and that is what Stoner was upset about, not the loss. Go back and read what Stoner said at the time. Don't ignore the fact his team wanted to protest and he vetoed it. It is good to see that no world championship is worth a thing if there is any suspicion you had an advantage bike wise. Of course this does not count for Rossi as he only ever won on inferior equipment. Everybody else must have had some unbeatable bike advantage!

So Stoner bashers come out of the woodwork and try to rewrite the English language! Here is the definition of the two words from the oldest dictionary in the world. The Oxford. Definition of quit, verb: Informal resign from (a job). she quit her job in a pizza restaurant. he quit as manager of the struggling Third Division team. Definition of retire. verb. leave one’s job and cease to work, typically on reaching the normal age for leaving service. he retired from the Navy in 1986. (of a player) cease to participate in competitive sport. he retired from football several years ago. So there we have it in plain English. He did not leave before his contract was finished and he informed his employer via the proper procedures so it was not informal. He retired from the professional sport. Now stop trying to change the language!

MOTOGP » Pirro: Ducati test role better than CRT option


Recently you saw the MotoGP Ducati struggle to outperform WSBK bikes on the same track. Logic says that CRT should be and will be much faster than WSBK. Same engines with more "go fast" mods. Better brakes. Better chassis. Lighter weight. All of this anti CRT after their first year is premature. Moto2 has got faster over the years. CRT will get faster and end up a tiny percentage behind full prototypes as their designs mature. There is nothing in the regulations to prevent that.

This kid has proved his speed in the 125's and a couple of races, where he had a decent bike, in the 600's. He actually did better in the British 125's than Casey Stoner. So the people on this board who know nothing about Davies once again claim to know more than those who run the teams. They look for those who adapt to circumstances and do as well as they can with the equipment given. He raced 450, 125, 250 and 600cc in one season against England and Europes best juniors and podiumed in all classes. He won the European Junior Cup for God's sake! Matt deserves this ride more than 99.9% of other riders. As for paying for the ride, he could have raced Moto3 this season but couldn't bring enough money with him.

You have to attract money to a championship for sponsors to be willing to pay for a rider and bike. The bigger the audience the more money and more sponsors. If the internationals were not there to generate interest then the sponsorship money would not exist. What was suggested a few years ago is that each team be allowed a maximum of one foreign rider and if they hire one they must provide a bike in one of the classes to a U.K rider. So they can have their international stars getting TV coverage whilst the up and coming Brit is provided a ride in the lower class. That would be a good compromise but hard to get an agreement on. Perhaps also have a leaderboard for the leading domestic riders in the championship so they do not vanish in the overall standings.

Keyboard wannabe? What does that make you Rod? Wannabes hurl abuse when people don't agree with them. As for Aussies wanting to ride BSB. It is a logical stepping stone to WSBK and MotoGP. Not because it is better or harder than ASBK or AMA. It is in Europe where most of the world championship teams are based. The talent spotters might see the Aussies once a year at the support races for the MotoGP and WSBK. They can see them on a far more regular basis in BSB. Currently BSB has enough international riders to be a good platform for judging potential on the world stage. It has been a good platform for the young British riders as well. How many have graduated to world championships on their BSB performances? Quite a few so the series is doing its job!

Rod...the Australian Superbike and Superport Championships have produced more world champions and world championship race winners than BSB. If they get a ride in BSB it is because they earned it and believe me, an Australian has never brought money with them. To dismiss the Australian championships as some minor series is to show ignorance of the facts. Josh Brookes is doing far better in BSB than he could in the Aussie championship so which do you think is tougher? More people are watching BSB than ever before so it seems the majority do not agree with you. Thank goodness for that as I would rather see some of the world's up an coming talent get a chance than a bunch of no hopers getting seats based on nationality.
