F1 » Lotus to feel the ‘burn’ as Coca-Cola enters F1

Looks like a brand awareness campaign to me. I, for one, had never heard of it before today. Red Bull I can recognise and Monster, with it's distinctive, lime green ragged claw, logo. But a red flame on a black background may be a little difficult to spot, on a black car. Maybe it's because I'm old and feeble and don't drink any of them. If I'm tired I take a nap not a caffeine drink.

F1 » HRT to give all to the end

Oh my! think of the controversy if one of the HRT boys got in the way and was hit by the 'wunderkind', whilst he was attempting to brush such rubbish aside on his way to his expected third world title, and the Spanish contender went on to win instead. If that's not a conspiracy theory then what is? Tea anyone?

F1 » Karthikeyan: I was following orders

"Narain, the leader is coming up to overtake you soon. Please pull off the track and wait on the grass verge until he passes. Mind the undertray on the kerbs and try not to get too much rubbish on the tyres. We need to avoid any further temper tantrums, or people will accuse us of getting in HIS way again. On the other hand we are trying to secure a supply of Ferrari engines for next season.... Disregard my last transmission".

F1 » Forget NASCAR, football could move 2013 USGP

Quote. “We're going to do everything in our power to make it a 2:30 game, so our fans can get in and out without having to stay in a hotel,” UT deputy athletic director Butch Worley said, “We'd do all we could to make that happen. The Big 12 understands the issue.” Unquote. This would NEVER happen in F1. The organisers themselves having some thought for the cost, to the fans, of following their sport. The only 'issue' with F1 is "How much do you think the mugs will be prepared to pay for this?" Then they add 10%, just to make sure. Does anyone know how the cost of a ticket, to one of these football finals costs, compared to an entrance ticket to the Grand Prix. Perhaps F1's greed is on the verge of pricing it out of the market in a world that is in financial crisis. The American love Gridiron football, the're not sure about Bernie's F1 visiting circus yet. The FIA need to bear this in mind when setting the calendar.
