F1 » Double DRS to give Vettel boost in title bid?

An interesting and valid point. DRS, single or double, will give the leader no advantage in the race. It would seem that the only real use for double DRS is to be at the front after qualifying, simply because you can use it at every opportunity in practice and qualifying. A huge investment, this late in the season, for such a small gain, bearing in mind that it won't be on next year's car, as it's already been banned by the FIA.

F1 » F1 has never worked in US, insists TMS owner

It's always about the money. Circuit owners can only recoup their costs from the paying public. As the price for hosting a GP rises steeply each year so the ticket prices are hiked up to cover the extra cost. Fans are driven away by the cost and seek entertainment elsewhere, the circuit falls out of favour and a new, preferably government backed, Tilkedrome is selected to take it's place in the calendar. Hence the relentless drive of Formula One toward the petrodollar soaked Arab states and the Far East.

F1 » McLaren: No plan B over Hamilton

I think it goes without saying that Lewis Hamilton will not go to his new employer with the number one on his car. There are seven races left this season. Plenty of time for botched pit stops and other unfortunate 'mishaps'. No team, in it's right mind, would allow a driver take the World Championship number 1 to another team whilst giving them the 'bird'. If he wants to be a media superstar then go to LA, wear the sunglasses, the ear-ring, the silly facial hair and make RAP records. Then most of us, over the age of 12, will soon forget who he was.
