MotoGP » Rossi, Lorenzo reflect on Max Biaggi's retirement

@lean two you really think that was a great race moment? It was one of the stupidest moves a rider has ever made in top flight motorcycle racing. Elbowing a rider onto the grass at high speed on an already dangerous circuit? Oh yes, what great racing. It puts the riding of the current crop of "bad boys" like Marquez into perspective. And if the move itself wasn't stupid enough, the reasons he gave for it were even dumber. He actually claimed he stuck his elbow into the path of a rider overtaking him at speed for safety reasons. That was the point I lost all respect for Biaggi. It said to me that he knew he was beaten and would go so far to save face that he didn't mind endangering the life of another rider.

MotoGP » Moto2: Redding: 'Outside chance of nicking fourth'

Come on! He seems to be setting his sights on no better than third? In which case he's given up on fourth place in the championship. He needs to score 17 more points than Luthi to beat him in the standings, equal points will give Luthi fourth because he has a race win. As such Scott's got to be aiming for a win with Tom 7th or lower, or second with Luthi 13th or worse.

MotoGP » Advantage Espargaro for inaugural CRT title

I think the standard of the CRT bikes is starting to reach the level that some expected of them at the start of the season. If you consider them to be equivalent to the privateers in the 500 class say 20 years or so ago then they are getting to that level. Back then you expected the best privateers on customer bikes to be scrapping with the back markers of the factory/semi-factory pack. You never expected much more of true privateers except in exceptional circumstances. That, really, is where the CRT bikes should be. As such I think the CRTs next year should be fulfilling that role. Idiots like Parrish expecting CRT bikes to be placing top six were never living in the real world.

MotoGP » Bautista looking to lock-down fifth

Regarding the negative comments about Bautista I suppose we do have to look at last year's first corner debacle. It's not so much that Baustista took out the other riders, it's that he wouldn't accept the blame. Likewise Assen this year. While some people may try to blame Dovi for last year's incident there's no way his move on Lorenzo at Assen could be taken as anything other than idiotic and dangerous. Even so while he apologised to Jorge it was clear from his comments that he didn't really accept that he had done anything wrong.

WSBK » Melandri gets suspended sentence

@herewego the point is that these crooks always try to blame their advisors. We've seen it enough in the UK in the last few months. "My advisors told me to do it, I didn't know it was illegal." Ignorance is no excuse in law in any country I'm aware of. That's right Marco, the big boys did it and ran away. They don't need a suspended sentence of that length. Better a sentence just long enough to screw his season next year.
