MotoGP » Lorenzo: Force riders to pit in the rain

TwistedWrist29: Wow, its obvious A LOT of you who commented have never raced a bike on slicks and dealt with rain. They have zero traction in the wet, and when they let go, there is no warning. A million dollar bike on the ground, and possible injuries. I think he has every right to give his ideas for a solution. Trying to push in the rain on slicks is the sign of either an immature, stressed, desperate, or plain stupid racer. Jorge doesn't strike me as any of those. Trying to take a jab at his bravery makes some of you look so stupid when you look at the races he has done while injured, etc. You know, furthermore, a multiple world champion who basically never finishes a season below 3rd place really should listen to the wisdom of you fantastic analysts.
Those 2 who finished in front of him have not mentioned such a move? Do they not understand the risks like Jlo does? I would suggest the other 2 are now grinning from ear to ear:)

JedPB67:
Mountainbiker: Lorenzo has lost his bottle, its time for him to make way for a rider with a real desire to win in all conditions.
He won at Aragon in mixed/mostly damp conditions.
Because 4 others who were faster that day (VR, DP, MM & AI) all fell off. If the Jlo rule was in place that day it would have worked against him and he may well have finished 5th or lower! But either way, we know Jlo hasn't thought anout what he said other than "how can I minimise my disadvantage in the mixed conditions?" Apparently its easier to try and change the rules than look for mixed conditions and practice your butt off to improve both ability and confidence in those conditions!

MotoGP » Lorenzo: Marquez talented, brave, takes lot of risks

"It's funny how people slate Rossi's #2, but didn't slate Lorenzo's #2 in 2013. All of a sudden now being the top Yamaha "doesn't matter", or is less critical when it comes to hierarchy." Top comment Realist.... When VR doesn't win, many of the posters here jump up and down to point to the fact he was "given a lesson", or "badly beaten" or "stoners mum would have done better" or "Jlo ownes him" etc etc. Prior to 2011 and since the end of 2013, you don't see many such comments posted. But dare to say the same about Jlo (and previously stoner) and a lot of posters feathers get ruffled, don't they! I said consistantly during 2012 at the hight of VR hate posts, that what goes around comes around and that all the bull statements about VR would one day be aptly applied to the others....well, the time has arrived so just suck it up or stop viewing this (and many other) sites.

Also, funny that many Jlo fangirls say he still better than MM it's just that MM takes more risks. Why do I find this funny? Because in 2008-2009 when Jlo hit the seen and the VR haters would say VR is scared of Jlo as a team mate etc....who mentioned that VR is still better its just Jlo took more risks? NO ONE! Why is this "risk taking" only an issue now? Oh right, because Jlo isn't dominating on a tailored bike with tyres (in hyndsight) that suited perfectly his style re 2012. Time always reveals the truth.....VR is better than Jlo and the only one scared of that is Jlo (along with being scared of rain, tyres and mosquito's).

Brain: I initially predicted Lorenzo would outscore Rossi in the second half of the season but not catch him for second or third. After Rossi's dnf and Lorenzo's win, it became not only possible , but probable. To Rossi's credit, he righted the ship and took 2nd . Have fun with 2nd place, next year Lorenzo will restore order in the Yamaha camp and be 2nd in the championship while Rossi falls to at least 3rd.
Time will be the judge of that Brain...as the addage goes...."to assume makes an ass out of u and me".

One final parting note, To the poster who earlier in the year stated that Jlo would outscore VR in the second half....correct you were. Is that a bragging right? 12 points was the margin Jlo outscored VR by in the second half....the difference between 1st & 4th in one single race! Now few would deny that Jlo rode an awsome second half of the year and only managed a one race diff of 11st to 4th. So then, VR must have road an awsome second half as well hey? PS, you were wrong on the second part of your prediction which was that Jlo would finish second in the WC. Which is the bigger bragging right? 2nd in WC or outscoring the 2nd best by 12 points over 8 races to finish as 3rd best WC?

MotoGP » Rossi: You have to forget past MotoGP victories

Some toing and froing (as per usual) but to those saying "see, even rossi says the past victories don't count!" I would suggest that he is not saying they don't exist but rather to win today (and tomorrow), they have no impact. If you want to win today (and tomorrow) you have to constantly work hard ant improving all that you can. Let me enlighten you (and you know who you are).... Rossi struggles at Ducati (back then) and is now WC runner-up, beat his team mate and has his confiedence back to the point where he sees hope of a 10th title. It got hard so he worked hard and prevailed. Others won at Ducati (back then) and are now no longer racing. It got hard so they surrendered. YOU HAVE TO WORK HARD IN SPITE OF THE SET-BACKS.
