MotoGP » Lorenzo and Yamaha: One or two years?

Brain: @Brain all except Jlo seem to have been advantaged. Not sure why you single out VR. The larger disk was a safety body initiative which directly represents the riders group view. All did not want the new discs introduced. Like i said, Honda protested the move, their bikes were doing just fine with the 320 mm discs. In the name of safety, you really are gullible.
Well, good luck to ya Brain. You obviously have it all worked out and sorted. As a gift to us gullible types, can you please post the finishing order of the top 5 and their respective points tally for not only 2014 but 2015 and 2016. Also, the constructors championship and points for the same time frame. I will be down to the local TAB and placing my pics in advance. Looking forward to a big payday come November 2016:):):)

Now a real conspiracy would have to be Brazil conceeding 7 goals, 4 of which came in 20 minutes?????? Someone out there has a very valuable docket! Back to GP, Dorna do change the rules a lot but not to specifically favour one team or rider but to try and make the sport more entertaining for viewers. We want closer racing. I personally couldnt give 2 hoots about lap times and race times, I want to see 4 a breast in a group or 8 going into the last corners of the last lap. I want to see Moto3 racing in Motogp damn it. And that is what Dorna are trying to replicate. It takes time and incremental changes (hense it seems like the rules are constantly changing). NO CONSPIRACY.

The more I think about it, I wouldn't be surprised if its Yamaha that want the 1 year deal. A "shape up or ship out" call from them to Jlo. No where has it been stated that Jlo is demanding the 1 year deal (correct me please, if I am wrong)? Jlo's glum face and current low profile would suggest he is quite unhappy and you would think he would have let go of the "performance thing" for this year given we are at the half way mark of the season. So, unless Jlo is a realy big sulk, his current unhappiness may just well be due to the negotiations?? Maybe the sticking point is the one year not the money? Maybe its Yamaha wanting the one year? If Jlo cannot adjust to the 2014 tyre, how will he adjust to the 2016 Michies, less sophisticated electronics and same ECU accross all competitors (may be Yamaha's thoughts)??

Brain: Dorna dont build bikes, but they do make back room deals to get a certain rider back on competitive machinery. Remember the slip of the tongue from Uncle Carmello months before it was even announced. "I am calm. Valentino next year will be riding a competitive bike, but I [can't] tell you what it is. It is still too early to talk about: in 2013 we will see Rossi fight for the win... again.” That sounds a lot like an entity that is supposed to be neutral pulling strings to alter competition
Again, I question Dorna's pull because in 2013 VR didn't fight for wins. By his standards, on a competitive bike, he had a poor year........

Speak for your self, i detest manipulated competition for entertainment value, especially in what is supposed to be the pinnacle of its prospective sport
I was speaking for myself! I wasn't asking your opinion!

"He did win in 2013 and was much more competitive than his previous2 years. Now look at the moves to make him more competitive for 2014 . What does Rossi like in a tire, super stiff carcass, what do we get, a super stiff carcass. Rossi complains about braking, Dorna allows larger discs that they had previously banned ,a move that Honda protested." @Brain all except Jlo seem to have been advantaged. Not sure why you single out VR. The larger disk was a safety body initiative which directly represents the riders group view. Nice try though, dont give up, its fun:) The more you dig, the more I agree it may be a conspiracy....but not to favour VR but to hamper Jlo (shits & giggles man, just having fun:))

KnowNothing:
Brain: We have no idea what instructions Dorna have given Michelin for what kind of tire they want in the series. Bridgestone didnt seem to care what Dorna wanted, they built fast ass tires that lasted and broke records.
When in doubt, change the subject?
Man you guys are quick. I leave to grab a cuppa.....????? Thanks KnowNothing, you have beaten me to the punch twice now. I would also add that if its a script, sureley you can find Dorna's request to Michelen on the net somewhere? Don't scripts get sent out for proof reading or some sort of check? Google it!
