MotoGP » Rossi satisfied with 'best qualifying'

So funny... Rossi's and his teams work this year so far must be spooking the haters. Now they bag him for qualifying 4th against a fully fit MM, DP and JLo on what Jlo so vocally (more so than VR) claims is an inferior bike to honda and as a 9 time fraud (according to the haters). I suppose having finished the last race only 1.6s off Jlo and now a 4th in qualy in Spain must be jolting not just the haters but Jlo. Now Jlo is talking about being competitive again...go figure! Such a big turn around in the bike and tyres over a week ????

MotoGP » Rossi satisfied with 'best qualifying'

Yolo: not surprised rossi qualified fouth. fourth is the best he can achieve these days.
At 35, on the wrong side of his career curve and against MM, DP & Jlo within a pack of 20+ riders.....4th is dam good I would think. Imagine the accolades if Cal or Dovi were consistently finishing 4th? I have said it time and time again....the mark of the man is that he is crucified for his current results due to the benchmark he set for the entire sport. Its no coincidence that MM is aiming to surpass that record because in order to claim to be the best, you have to beat the bests record, not simply cross the line in front of them.

MotoGP » Rossi satisfied with 'best qualifying'

@ Paul, Rossi is not the rider he was, true! But he is in the right head space, on a good bike and has not lost his skills. He can still compete at that level. You say Jlo is capable of another title? Just 2 seasons ago he finished every race either 1st or second. Last year he was not able to replicate that and lost by 4 points and in some races (towards the end) showed glimpses of desperation. Now this year so far, he has made major mistakes at exactly the wrong time and finds himself almost 2 race wins behind a rampant MM after only 3 rounds. While Jlo still has youth, the skill and the bike, in my opinion, he is NOT in the right head space (currently) to win another WC. And as the Rossi haters love to point out, it aint going to get any easier....

MotoGP » Rossi: I hope Marc has my 2001 troubles!

"I think that I can give better help this year, because I know the bike better compared to last year, I always have better settings and I can push more. So I can help Jorge more to improve the bike,” said Rossi. From the above comment over on the other thread, the picture of this thread, the general feeling between VR and MM compared to MM & Jlo and the current results (state of comfort on respective bikes) it starting to look more and more like Jlo is becoming the 3rd wheel ??? The kid that wants to join in but isn't quite welcome ??? The guy who wants to be liked so much but isn't ???

MotoGP » Marquez: Pedrosa, Lorenzo strong at Jerez

@M. Wall, Rossi hasn't crashed any parties lately correct! Neither has Jlo or 19 other riders but at least Rossi is in the cab and on the way, Jlo is still looking for his socks while the others are still in the shower. As for Aleix, he would be more competitive on Rossi's bike....and Jlo's, Dani's, Marcs, Bradle's and Bautista's! What points are you trying to make?

MotoGP » Valentino Rossi: Bradl cost me a podium

Typical responses when VR does well.....all the "no excuses" crap from the haters. Just last race a lot of the same posters were trying to convince us that mosquito's really do impact your concentration...... Just 1.6 secs off Jlo after all those mistakes (some his own) and starting from 6th. No where to run and no where to hide Jlo, he's on the same bike, same tyres and you are getting the pref. treatment from the team as the no.1. Jlo may well look to strike a deal with Honda but it won't be due to needing a competitive bike! Next stop....Europe:)

MotoGP » Argentina MotoGP - Race Results

How many posters here saying Jlo needs a better bike, resutls as normal etc. Guy's, VR made up so much ground after SB incident and finished 1 sec of JLo and had the pace to stick with Honda's. You need to face it...Yam is competitive but more to VR liking than Jlo. Without SB incident, VR had a real shot at battling with MM and a better shot at second. Dont forget, MM & Jlo had clean air in front of them from the start while VR had a pack in front at the start and then SB decided to go all bautista on him as well.....5 secs off the win and 1 sec off 3rd by race end! VR is the real deal this year and after 3 races, hater talk cant change that. WC may be out of reach due to MM but VR will shake-up Jlo and DP for sure. Next stop...Europe:)

MotoGP » Lorenzo: I'd like a more competitive bike...

Steve E, I think the excitement is due to the fact that when Rossi complained about the ducati in 2012 after testing, all the haters slammed him for "throwing ducati under the bus". Same situation now but with Jlo and all the Rossi haters say "whats' the excitement about?" In your own post you have highlighted the issue, Jlo qualified 2nd (ahead of his teammate and DP) yet he is complaining about the bike. First it was the tyres, then mosquito's and now the engine. With an 18 round season, I'm expecting 18 different reasons why he thinks the best rider isn't winning..... I wonder what Hayden of Dovi are thinking when they here Jlo speak. They must want to take him out the back and kill him. I would hate to think of the fall-out if I call him a moaner....but if the shoe fits?

MotoGP » Cal Crutchlow ruled out of Argentina

In light of the recent history (last 3-4 years), the following statement is an absolute cracker and one which highlights VR's true status...... "Haha Dave, still trying to discredit Stoner any chance you get. Come on buddy, he's a two time world champ, and Motogp legend, with more wins than anyone he rode against in the period he was riding, just move on and enjoy your life. Smile, you'll have more fun. " Lets just think about the above statement..... Haha (insert poster here), still trying to discredit Rossi any chance you get. Come on buddy, he's a nine (9) time world champ, and Motogp legend, with more wins (and WC) than anyone during his time, just move on and enjoy your life. Smile, you'll have more fun. The more time goes by, the more telling VR's career stats become. As much as you all try to discredit them, they are what they are. Smile and have more fun (Rossi sure is).
