MotoGP » Front row first target for 'pretty fast' Rossi

Rossi generally choses his words carefuly so if he is starting to say things like he is pretty fast, he was able to beat Jlo & Pedro then I think he is confident he has the package he wants now and that it still has improvement to come. I said earlier this year, the package (VR, Yam & Bridgestone) are the real deal this year and it won't (shouldnt) be a shock if he consistantly finishes ahead of DP & Jlo. When MM has a bad day, maybe VR will win but I think the real competition for the WC will be next year. It's Marcs this year to lose. Yam are listenning more and more to VR (new frames appearing and its VR that likes them...) so I see his side of the garage getting stronger through the year regardless of what anyone else is doing.

F1 » Vettel full of praise for Mercedes

Hate him all you want but these are the facts.... He came from 15th and finished 4th He praised his team mate He praised Mercedes and added that they have earned their dominance Like I said yesterday, the true mark of a champion is how they handle losing (not winning all the time). It puts a lot of "things" into perspective when he takes a car with obvious issues from 15th to 4th......or is that simply a car advantage as the haters would state. Well done race and even more impressive, top post race comments. A true champion and sportsman.

F1 » Vettel to be hit with grid penalty

Cut the guy some slack. Nothing has gone to plan from the start of pre-season and the team haven't had one weekend yet where everything just works. The true mark of his stature is how he is getting on with it and not flying home in a hiss to "evaluate his future". With all the issue to date, 4-5 rounds in, you bet other drivers would be throwing helmets, refusing to talk to the media and openly bagging the car and team (as well as flying home on a whim to evaluate their career). No one can win all the time nor have things work all the time. If you think the guy that one the last 9 races of 2013 in a row and the last 4 WC in a row is not capable of getting it sorted with his team and the car, you are kidding your self. To trash him speaks little of everyone else on the grid who are all amazing and that's how close it is, you need everything working 100% all the time.

MotoGP » Pedrosa: I needed more time to pass Rossi

Dani is a great rider and deserves his ride with Honda and deserves it to continue. I have also noticed that his rocketship launches have dissapeared? Lately it is Jlo (apart from last 2) rocketing to the wholeshot (on an inferior under powered bike if you listen to many posters). I believe it is to do with the tyre and the impact on his hard braking confidence at that first corner (when colder) which his holding him back from his trademark rocketship launches. As for team orders, I dont think Dani is being told what to do race by race but at some point last year, I think it was made clear to him that MM is AND WILL BE GOING FORWARD, the number one. Dani is just like Hayden...loyal to his own detriment. Just my opinion...

MotoGP » Dovi: Top four ride in a completely different way

Yes, CC & AD are saying the same thing but in today's world where almost all things rotate around how people convey a message (negative or positive), it comes down to how you say something more than what you are saying. Share prices, political elections, diplomatic situation between countries, footy manager dismissals / appointments....all hinge on HOW rather than WHAT is said. So, sure CC is copping flack for saying the same thing BUT he said oh so differently......didn't he! For example, if these 2 were trying to sell you shares in Ducati, and your only option was you had to buy off one of them, who would you buy off given they have said the same thing?????

MotoGP » Dovi: Top four ride in a completely different way

@TrueFan, Totally off-topic (not about racing or riders) but what do you think Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss and Sales Forecasts are if not spin? Do we need more big corporations to go under only to find there were questionable accounting practices which made all of the above look good or at least better than they were? What triggered the GFC (among other things) and why did only a select few see it coming and what where their qualifications? Not looking for conflict but just putting forward an alternate perspective...the "sale grab" is in the delivery of the message, not the message content (in my observations). These riders who are simply racers, exhausted from a race, sweaty in their leathers and gasping for air and the first things they do getting off the bike is put a bridgestone cap on and a big almighty shiny watch. When I get of the bike after a track day or a big road ride, all I'm thinking of is a beer.

MotoGP » Marquez: I don’t know why I felt so good!

Hats off to MM. Top ride and he is the real deal for those still suggesting its just the bike. Good interview. Many posters on this sight would have to agree that he simply told how it was ???? When you open a gap out to 5+ seconds buy the 6-7th lap, what else can it be but the rider! MM doesn't mention Rossi a lot because he admires him and is simply trying to mess with Jlo. Think about it....Jlo thinks he is MM's better so MM keeps talking about Jlo's threat yet 3 of 4 rounds now, Jlo has finished behind VR. Riders know each other's potential (rider, bike & tyre combo) so MM has a fair idea that Jlo is not as big a threat as DP & VR at the moment. All the while, VR goes about his business "under the radar" and has fun (and shows it) with MM. I would say that MM & VR got together in the off season and disgussed how to best screw with Jlo....imagine your rival running away with the WC and your old has-been team mate beating you more often than not.
