MotoGP » Lorenzo: I left it too late

ProfX, Give it up dude, its over, let it go and move on! Jlo may have proclaimed in his book that he is the king but the facts are different.... MM = defending WC ( Jlo NOT) MM = will most likely be crowned WC this year ( Jlo NOT) MM = won the last 10 races (Jlo HASNT YET & NOT LIKELY TO) MM = most likely be WC back-to-back ( Jlo HASNT YET & NOT LIKELY TO) MM = popular with all fans & likeable by media ( Jlo NOT) It was only 1 year ago the haters were giving it to VR for being uncompetitive on a factory M1 now all the haters are quiet and the Jlo fans crying "tyres", "Honda", "Mosquitos", "contracts" etc. Let go of it ProfX and move on!

MotoGP » Rossi: Like Ron Haslam at the start!

Well done VR. Great start and constant race. Keep up the great work and have another go next time out. Some comments crack me up....."easily beaten" says dazza. Well 3 seconds is obviously the difference between beaten easily and not. Rossi lost by 5+ seconds and Jlo by 2+ seconds yet no mention of Jlo being beaten easily. Well, I suppose this is a VR thread. I'll go and look at the Jlo thread for your same comment dazza!

@R6, Maybe VR was trying what DP was doing at the start of the year when they set the bike up to sacrifice end of race pace for the sake of a lighting start? I have no real idea about this but it makes sense that you can't have both these days, between tyre degradation and fuel consumption, you can have a lighting start or a strong finish but not both! At least we know VR isn't afraid of trying something different in an effort to get the result.

MotoGP » Jorge Lorenzo signs at Yamaha

I think it will be tough for Jlo to overtake VR in the points by years end (without some DNF's from VR). The thing that makes me laugh is that there will be a lot of posters out there praying he does though. Imagine.....VR beating Jlo on same bike, same tires, same team, no wall, no injuries or ill health, as number 2 in the team, with less assistance (akropovic situation for example) and while 8 years his senior.....who would think!! I am having a big chuckle at the moment:)

MotoGP » LCR Honda confirms Cal Crutchlow

Its all business as to who goes where! As for Cal's 2015 speculation would be...better then 2014 but 5th at best over all and maybe a podium when 2 of the top 4 have bad days. As for Cal's mouth, Honda doesn't tolerate bad mouthing of either the bike or the group so we will either see a very quiet Cal or it will be a one year gig at best. Anyone remember a guy by the name of Biaggi? And Cal has nothing on that guy's ability or stats. In sum, 2015 will be either Cal's last in GP or he will make us all look silly (including the top 4). This is all my opinion of course and based on nothing else.

MotoGP » Moto3: Miller marks himself ‘five out of ten’

Plus one there Ausrossi. I too am from Australia and like Jack very much. both for his ability and personality. When he muffs up he says so. The fisherman on the other hand always had some one or some thing to blame when he didn't win and then it was all him when he did! He would criticise others for riding "dangerously" and then proceed to do the same when it suited him. He would treat the media and fans with distaine and then complain about how the media and fans would treat him. As an Aussie, it pi55es me off that people think you have to cheer for your fellow nationals. You don't have to, deal with it! I like Jack because he ticks all the right boxes against my values and beliefs where as I disliked stoner because he didnt.... Go Jack, I'm rooting for you and hope you get to the top of the premier class!!!

F1 » Lauda: Hamilton was right to defy team

So just to get this right, we are now saying it is up to the driver to ignore or obey team orders? After Vettel's effort last year, I mistakenly understood the masses were adiment that team orders are team orders and if you ignore them you are a grotty cheat! Guess I was wrong and all is good with the world today as there are no double standards in sight.....
