MotoGP » Honda decided against Stoner MotoGP return?

Can you imagine if CS returns and is fast straight up and challenging for wins and MM puts his normal moves on CS and then in the post race media, CS pulls out the, "I've been doing this for a long time and I have never passed anyone like MM just passed me" Or what if he is not fast and finishes mid-pack and then pulls out the, "this is not true GP racing, the rules are crap and it's all a conspiracy to keep me from winning just because I'm Australian. Or he is fast and at the front and no one lauds over him or his achievements and he pulls out the, one armed salute to the fans and the spray to the governing body...... The "show" has been much better without him and I believe Honda see that and they simply don't want his attitude reflecting on Honda.

MotoGP » Honda decided against Stoner MotoGP return?

When Stoner left, it was all hugs and smiles with Suppo and Nakimoto. The talk was that should Casey want to return, they would have a spot for him. Now, Casey is interested to return (even if just for a race or two) and guess what, no spot for him! Without making stuff up, it is rational and logical to say this, Stoner has tested for them and while no times were released, Honda have the times. Suppo says that what if Stoner is not fast on return (unkown tracks and 2 years off the bikes). 2+2 may simply equal that Honda don't beleive Stoner can compete with MM, VR or JLO (and now the two Anreas) so why tarnish his myth?

MotoGP » Marquez unaware of Stoner discussions

Wow!...and it's us Rossi fans that are labelled as blind to reality? If Honda approached CS as some on this thread try and asert, then CS has turned them down. So why is CS tweating about it and wording his tweat to sound like he is dissapointed??? Please. When CS quit, a lot of posters had the foresight to see this day coming....CS wants back in. The problem with burning bridges (slagging off other riders, the sport, the governing body of the sport, the media and the fans who don't support him) is that you have very few avenues back in. In CS case, the only avenue back in is Honda and they don't seem in any rush to bring him back (if at all). I am assuming of course that Honda is still a bridge not burned. I could be wrong and the continual turning down of offers to ride when he originally quit may have burned that bridge after all? One thing is certain, Honda don't take instruction from riders regardless of their calliber, just ask Rossi.

And so, the perpetuation of myth continues.... Yearby, realy? You point to years 2008-2010 as proof of how CS could place or win on a bike that wasn't 100% and thus, he must be god. You don't seem to highlight 2011 where the bike work fine and DP was taken out by Simmo while leading CS in the points? And I find this one funny because he won the WC that year... You don't seem to mention 2012 where the bike worked fine and both DP (his team mate no less) and Jlo scored more wins and points? Seems by your logic, he was a far better rider on crap machines than he was on good one's? PS - Hi AussieNSW....blast from the past. Not many posts from you over the past 12 months? Fact...CS now showing interest to return....Honda now showing less interest in having him......

badbob: You have real issues, he is the best rider, have you ever noticed anytime his name comes up you grit your teeth, And Honda smiles take a breath maybe Honda racing will consult you.
LOL....it was Honda that made the decision and as you rightly point out, they wouldn't consult a know-nothing....they have no need for CS and at this point in time, no want for him either! What would be even better, in the event that Pedrosa does retire through this arm issue, Honda keep Pedro as the test rider and kick CS right to the gutter.

MotoGP » Helmet issue 'cost Lorenzo chance of victory'

I have ridden with a fogged up visor and it was hard to see. When vr used this reason for a time loss over 2 laps 3 or 4 years ago, the haters stated how weak an excuse and most people could just deal with it! My point....this is different? I suspect before seasons end that jlo will endure glove issues, boot issues, suit issues and issues with his energy drink! Many issues for jlo this year but not the ducs or vr or marquez coz he has them covered ..... other than the issues!!!

MotoGP » ‘The GP15 is a real Ducati’

Of course its a Ducati! These are brands not physical things. Ducati is not determined by the frame or even the desmo valve system. These may be what brought the brand to prominence but it's still a abrand. They made sewing machines and pumps before they made bikes..... Is Honda realy a Honda? I mean, is the CBR a V4 or an inline 4? I can't ride my Honda generator! Is the Yamaha realy a Yamaha? I mean, don't they make musical instruments (tuning forks ring any bells?)? If you are going to discredit a brand based on it not remaining the same forever and doing the same things forever, you better discredit all brands for all things because nothing stays the same for ever! So are you saying my Ducati branded watch is not a Ducati? It's a Ducati and I for one am happy to have them competitive again. So long as they are not allowed to run away due to the concessions....

MotoGP » ‘The GP15 is a real Ducati’

PS - Dovi is a damn good rider who will consistantly challenge for the podium (and wins) while Iannone along with Marc will keep Jlo from running off in the first 3-5 laps keeping all of the top 6 in the hunt. Per norm, it will becamoe a game of he who can manage his tires the best while making the least mistakes, will win! While different, I would not be surprised if both Dovi and Iannone win a race through 2015....

MotoGP » Rossi ready to go: 'It will be a good season'

Sete: If you look at Race Wins in the last two years since Marquez arrived in MotoGP and Rossi returned to Yamaha, it's a tall order indeed to expect Rossi to get another championship. Reality is the infamous "mind games" and "battles" are just not working, statistics point to Lorenzo as the only serious challenger for the crown. Marquez - 19 wins Lorenzo -10 wins Pedrosa - 4 wins Rossi - 3 wins Skeptical nah - just keeping it real. Personally, I'd like to see a real upset. Looks like Ducati have built a rocketship and It would be so cool to see Dovi get a championship.
To Yearby & Sete, No, stats don't lie but peoples take on them do....over the last year (only as relevant as your last year...) MM 13 wins, VR 2 wins, JL 2 wins, DP 1 win VR since re-joining Yam has only improved where as Jlo has flatened...no metronome anymore as he cannot shoot off and keep clean air in front of him, that boat has sailed! Now with the Duc's looks even more distant...

F1 » Red Bull issues quit threat over regulations

A silly dummy spit.... Four WC in a row and the last 2 were sooooo easy yet no complaint by RedBull at how boring the sport was or calls to equalise the regulations? Shoe now is on the other foot and we have threats of leaving the sport if the situation is not rectified? Simple observation.......Ferrari finished 30+ secs behind where as RedBull were lapped so even with Mercs "advantage" taken out of the equation, RedBull are not as competitive as they should be or have been. Fix your own backyard up first RedBull, before calling for other teams to be held back!
