F1 » Vettel marks Ferrari F1 debut with top time

Firstly, good job and well done, Ferrari for the improved car and Seb for driving it well! Secondly, while you would not be mortgaging the house on pre season test results, to suggest they are no indication is ludicrous. Remember Seb's pre season last year and then how his year panned out? The major work to the cars is already completed, pre-season is about getting all the bits to work as a unit as best as possible. For the car to be quickest at this point is an indication it will be competitive enough (if reliable). Couple a competitive car with a proven winner who is more hungry now than ever??????? Like I said, you wouldn't be mortgaging the house but you should be looking for a bookie offering long odds on Seb (most at this point) and putting down $100 or 2! And all those giving him and Ferrari no chance, well that's as silly as mortgaging the house!

MotoGP » Rossi: First impressions so positive

Great stuff from all! The "usual suspects" at the top again as you would expect! VR is constantly improving as is the Yam and Honda are constantly throwing big bucks at "it" (14 bikes for one test). Only first test but it is worth noting that pre-season testing as a general, has always been a decent indication of who the "contenders" are so from that viewpoint, nothing has changed from 2014. I do note with interest that VR was strong all day and both on new and old rubber so with the improved gearbox to come, he wont go backwards! It will be a far closer battle this year as Jlo also likes the bike (and is not complaining about the rubber) while MM has gone for a "bitsa" bike (bit a this and a bita that). My only predictions at this stage are.. MM wont win the first 10 races in a row! MM still has a genuine chance of his 5th WC! VR still has a genuine chance of his 10th WC! Jlo still has a genuine chance of his 5th WC! DP still has a genuine chance of his 3rd WC!

MotoGP » Rossi ‘thinking’ tenth world title

So interesting to read so many posts saying "no chance". Interesting when I reflect on similar posts before the 2014 opener stating he "won't be competitive", "won't win a race" and that "Jlo will win the WC". So interesting that so many experts keep getting it wrong! Not saying VR will win the WC but how can you be so certain he won't? What is plain and right in front of you is that VR has as much chance as MM, Jlo & DP. No one is stating the MM has no chance or that Jlo has no chance and many are not even stating the DP has no chance. So yes, by all means, laugh at the fan club boys but remember just who has been laughing the most and the loudest over the past 15 years and why?

MotoGP » Stoner to continue Honda MotoGP tests

"Stoner's introverted personality and probably his passport would never see him backed fully by Repsol & HRC" Yeh, why put up with giggles, fun and better results under MM when you could have stirn faces, moaning and lessor results under CS? Yeh, his passport would be a real problem for him, just look at the headache Miller had because of his passport....forced to spend another year in Moto3 to win the WC then 3 years in Moto2 proving he can adapt...oh wait? The reality is much more simple and rational, HRC want his feedback because he can push the bike 100% and Casey wants to ride by himself without all the bull that goes with the tour. Simple! Casey doesn't want to ride full time and HRC doesn't want the "atmosphere" Casey brings with him, in the team. They are scratching each other's backs at the moment and that's all.

MotoGP » Stoner to continue Honda MotoGP tests

HairPlugsHamilton: All the haters on here claiming stoner was never any good are full of crap, the best modern area riders are easily M.Marquez,Rossi,Stoner and Lorenzo in no specific order and then daylight the rest. To claim he doesn't belong in the argument of the best of the current generation is sheer stupidity and makes me wonder why the people posting such comments are watching motogp as they obviously don't appreciate or recognise such supreme talent :)
Pedrosa? Daylight behind? A man who has won 26 (I think) top class races, come second in WC a number of times, won 7 of the last 8 races in 2012 (against Stoner, Jlo & Rossi), the longest serving Factory Honda rider without a WC and a realy nice guy of the sport....doesn't rate a mention? ... "is sheer stupidity and makes me wonder why the people posting such comments are watching motogp as they obviously don't appreciate or recognise such supreme talent"...your words!

Brain, MM is the worlds best rider (right now). MM has openly stated he wants to emulate and beat VR record so its clear who MM thinks is the worlds best (over all not right now). MM given the time, will become the best rider ever. VR came second in the 2014 WC so it's also clear who is the second best rider in the world (right now). At last glance CS hasn't raced for 2 years. My point? You still need a different pseudonym!
