F1 » Vettel criticises Alonso’s defence

Surprise surprise...one of the rare moments Vettel does have a whinge and all the haters come out and bag him. He is whinging, I agree! But keep all the criticism of it in perspective, he is hardley jumping on a flight home to "contemplate his future" now is he....... The very same posters who would justify every single dummy spit of their idols somehow beleive that Vettel is not allowed to spit a dummy every now and then??????? Not very many comments condemming the other driver involved for his whining? I cannot even name him becasue I can't find his name amongst these posts! I do find it ironic though, that a thread about whinging see's Webber's name mentioned a few times:)

MotoGP » Rossi, Yamaha confirm two-year deal

Posters that spout off about "whats rossi done the last 5 years" are ignoring some obvious elements contributing to those lack of results..... 2010 - was a challenger (and defending WC) until he broke his leg. 2011 & 2012 - even the haters can now see (while not abale to admit), he was on a dud of a bike. 2013 - the only year you can genuinly argue that he did not perform. I would have no issue saying VR was on a competitive bike and under-performed by his standards. 2014 so far - 5 podiums from 8 races including 4 seconds and is second in the WC only to his rightfull successor. Stop spouting crud because he is every bit a champion deserving of his seat.....

MotoGP » Rossi, Yamaha confirm two-year deal

dazza0501: The only winner is honda. They have a young superkid who could break every record going. Incredibly fast, Incredibly intelligent, brilliant racecraft and the list goes on. He will only get better. He makes some mistakes in races but thats because he is always pushing and wants to win. Rossi will not get faster with age. He is much happier this year and very consistent but he won't push it as much as marquez. Honda are looking to the future. Yamaha need their own young gun! Honda have one already! If you think its just the bike then your deluded!
I don't disagree....they should give Jlo's seat to one of the espargaro brother's! What's Jlo done this year (and on a competitive bike)?

MotoGP » Rossi, Yamaha confirm two-year deal

Great news for the sport and great news for his fans!!!! To the haters.....if VR doesn't deserve his seat on current form (which is what the teams would look at among other variable), then who does? He is second only behind MM and has poidumed 5 out of 8 races (4 seconds)! Hate him all you want but on current form, not only does he deserve his ride but I hope he is also the No.1 rider. If they tune the bike around VR, he has even more to offer. Haters, please step back and think.....they signed VR first....interesting?

MotoGP » Dall'Igna: New engine ‘first step’ for 2015 Ducati

I too, must say that I am surprised the engine wont come until Novemeber! Regardles of their intentions for going "open", the reality is that they are running around for the season with all the benefits but not developing the bike. Yes, they are developing a bike, behind closed doors! The bike they are racing all year, is effectivley the same apart from electronic updates. Better hope the new bike is competitive because I think they have used up their "rule interpretation" wild card for the next 2-4 years. If this bike isn't competitive, we may well see the end of ducati in Motogp for now.

MotoGP » Dovizioso: Marquez was much faster

Guy's, enough with the voices already. I'm getting bad flash-backs and missing the point of what you guy's are saying (lol:)). I think Dovi is a good rider who did very well at Honda as 3rd guy who had to deal with court proceedings regarding his contract when Honda tried to shaft him in favour of stoner all while trying to compete as a Honda rider. I mention this for some context as a number of posters are feeling sorry for Jlo that Yamaha want to cut his pay and that must somehow be impacting on his mental state! Dovi is simply another good rider who for what ever reason (probably several) has missed out on the good bike with a good team with full backing of the factory etc. (you know....all the ducks in a row stuff) to be great. ....in a Terminator voice with T2 theme in the background.....

MotoGP » Rossi, Yamaha confirm two-year deal

"Interesting. I cannot fathom buying an expensive pleasure item based on idolizing someone who rides the brand. Unless said star is paying for it, I'll choose the bike I enjoy the most. Also, I think you're throwing JL under the bus a bit early. The same could be said of VR last year, who would you have had replace him?" @KnowNothing, ...Many haters cry that VR only got this gig (after ducati) because Yamaha wanted to sell bikes. ...VR has never been thrown under a bus? and like it or not, his stats are far better than Jlo's. ...LOL how times do change. You can no longer point to VR current performance for criticism so now people say "last year" and "when at ducati". Time always reveals the truth.

F1 » Horner praises ‘remarkably mature’ Vettel

To some posters here, it realy doesn't matter what Seb does or doesn't do, they will slate him or anyone that defends him. One poster was calling for Horner to criticise him in the same maneer as he criticies Renault? RBR team have a clear issue with reliability and the majority of it is impacting Vettel at this stage. He cops it on the chin and is mature about it and the haters slate. If he did a Webber the haters would slate....go figure! I am personally impressed that he is being mature about it and honestly, wouldn't expect less. It realy does give more perspective to the previous couple of years behaviour from his ex-team mate! As for being embarrassed by is team mate, Vettel has also handled the results betweem then maturley. He has praised Ricciardo at every turn and not made any snide remarks (and there has been no reason to either) or acted in any way like a sook.

F1 » Horner praises ‘remarkably mature’ Vettel

PS - I think Vettel has impressed management as much as Ricciardo but for different reasons. These 2 are making a real go of a bad situation and simply getting on with the job. They both have big futures in front of them (Vettel is still young remember - some more perspective here) and it will be a hard to beat them as a team once they get the reliability sorted out. The fun part will be watching them race when they are competing regularly with each other in races.

MotoGP » ‘Scared’ Lorenzo haunted by Assen injury

A lot of people questioning the possible reasons for Jlo's poor form....No one has suggested that VR at 35, who Jlo believed he was better than, who Jlo was made to accept as team mate again is making him feel infereior within the Yamaha group? Jlo was top dog at Yamaha in 2013 and then through winter testing, VR could match (there abouts) him. Who knows what the guys are saying behind closed doors but Vale would be doing everything to throw Jlo. The first 2 races of this year, Jlo was making BIG (rookie) mistakes...he looked like he was desperatley trying to proove something. I think the poor form since, is more a reflection of Jlo having realized he is no king of Motogp and that he is relativley powerless to do anything about it (in my opinion only). This view is a personal view only of the writer of this post and in no way represents the view of the general public, posters on this site or CRASH itself......
