F1 » Horner: Ricciardo's overtaking 'up there with the best'

1Jez: Richard, come on, you cannot possibly sit there and argue with a straight face that Vettel let Ricciardo through! Ricciardo was faster in every phase in of the race with the exception of the start box to turn 1. Not to mention the driving defence Vettel put up. Yes, Ricciardo's tyres were younger, but that doesn't exclude Ricciardo from being faster than Vettel (quite the opposite, it confirms that he was!). It's also a credit to Ricciardo that was able to make the option last so long - one more aspect in which he has consistently outperformed Vettel this season. Face it - in 2014, Daniel Ricciardo is a better racing driver than Sebastian Vettel. Three wins to zero, multiple passes on track and otherwise a results walloping when both drivers finish the race says you can't really argue with that.
Sadly, he will find someway to disagree and come up with an excuse that makes no sense.

F1 » Horner: Ricciardo's overtaking 'up there with the best'

Mustafur: The Main reason why Ricciardo did so well after being soo far back is being able to not lose much time on Old tyres when he went long, the one thing his opponents couldn't do in their final stint. Downplay it all you want but the fact remains he did what the others couldn't.
Spot on Mustafur. It's a shame that other posters on this thread can't see that and instead let their anti-Ricciardo / pro-Vettel views obscure reality.

F1 » Horner praises Ricciardo’s ‘massive performance’

I seriously cannot believe the narcissism of some of the posters on this forum. Having to start nearly every post with "as I've mentioned in other posts" or include the words "FIA flow reading" in every other post just makes this forum boring and consistently off-topic. Riccardo has been awesome so far but I'm sure Vettel will find a way very soon to catch up. There is more than "the car" that won him 4 x championships!

F1 » Australian Grand Prix - Qualifying results

wtf: Hamilton...awesome of the session Vettel...slapping the steering wheel like a baby and shown up when asked to "drive" a car
As much as I like to see Vettel have a bad day, he was obviously frustrated after not qualifying well as any driver on the grid would be. I'm not sure what coverage you watched, but with the Sky on-board of Vettel's qualifying laps on almost every corner he had to correct the car, and he demonstrated excellent car control where others may have spun or gone off. In terms or pace he isn't there yet, however in terms of his driving ability it is standard German perfection.
Including when he hit the wall?
