MotoGP » Scott Redding to Marc VDS Honda

VKal:
MattyMKO745:
SuperSic: This is beyond amazing news. Only thing left to clear up is if it's a 1 bike team, and if it's running showa/ohlins and brembo/nissin.
it's one man team, so only thing to solve would be brakes and suspension... but Scott made it clear what he wants to ride on a Factory bike, so Ohlins and Brembo will be confirmed as well
it's still a factory bike even with Showa and nissin.
yes it is, but not as competitive as with Brembo and Ohlins, which were officially confirmed yesterday, a bit later than official announcement regarding the move... Nissin lacks braking power and Showa is main problem for the lack of rear grip for both Bautista and Redding this year.. and Scott doesn't want that, so he is switching..

MotoGP » Redding on 2015: It’s a big decision for me

Realist:
MattyMKO745: I really don't get it why people like biaggi think that Scott will not get Repsol bike, that other will get it... if the results next year and in 2016 are good enough, he has every possible chance to get it, nothing is impossible
It's the reality. The aforementioned riders are well ahead of Redding, and let's also consider that MM and DP will hold onto those bikes for as long as they possibly can. Redding will not usurp A.Marquez or M.Vinales. That's just the truth.
point well explained... but the chance is still there... he just need to impress HRC management like he was this year and may, just maybe someday he will get a shot on Repsol sponsored bike, even if A.Marquez and Vinales are better situated than him...

MotoGP » Moto2: Herrin out, Wilairot in at Caterham

biaggi: Moto2 is a tough category for a rookie. This year all the rookies(apart vinales) are struggling a lot.Folger ,Lowes ,Salom and Morbidelli have collected almost the same amount of points.Baldasari Herin and the Malaysian boys are completely lost.Maverick is making these guys looking like amators.only 3 guys were fast during their rookie season in moto2.Iannone, Vinales and Marquez. but in iannone's case was a lot easier cuz was the inaugural year of the category and everybody had to adapt.Marquez had an engine that was 15km faster down the straight compared to his rivals. Everybody in this forum talking about Redding but he doesn't has half of the talent that Marc and Maverick have
I would have agreed with your comment, but I cannot simply because fact about Scott is not true... he is as talented as Marc or Vinales, but has wrong passport... Anyway about Herrin I would say that as much as I like him, it was expected that he will get sacked...

MotoGP » Marc VDS pushing for Redding-Honda deal

9times: @MattyMKO745 Again, Andrea Iannone in his moto2 rookie season (2010) won 3 races and 8 podiums vs Redding only 2 podiums. Ithought we were comparing Redding's rookie season to Iannone's.
get the point, no point arguing... but I don't know why are we even mentioning Iannone in an ariticle about Redding, MarcVDS and Honda?? anyway as I said before, I really hope that MarcVDS get the deal done and dusted for next season... They deserve to step up and Scott definetly deserves better bike

I was only trying to say that in my eyes Scott is as talented as Marc is, but without the financial backing Marc gets from sponsors... And sponsors sadly dictate who will get good equipment right away and who will have to wait... Also a lot of people think the same way as I am, why do you think so many people want to see him on a Factory spec bike next year?? And Marc was first of those people who said that!!

I think you meant passport, but regardless, Marquez's country of origin (and Vinales for that matter) aren't twisting the throttle on the bike. For you to discount anything MM has accomplished simply because of his nationality is just absurd. Scott is overrated, and it will take him to be on a fairly competitive bike for that fact to be beaten into the heads of those who still think he has the same chops as Marquez.
that is exactly what I meant... fast typing doesn't help always!! I didn't mean to say like that, to sound like I'm discouting anything...
