MotoGP » Fast race lap but Redding ‘can’t be happy’

Matt2:
alanw5293: Forgetting the fact that Bautista was on Nissin/Showa he and his team had experience and some good solid results with the Honda and last season they just couldn't make the thing work.Who do you think they share data with in a one bike team..LCR? Also the Pramac team is also a Satelite team with lots of support from Ducati which Ianone had some great results on last year. I woul
Mmmm, this little team called Honda HRC. Honda shares data between the teams. The Pramac bikes are older version than what Iannone had end of the year. Not to mention Petrucci is also new to the Ducati and has inferior machinery vs Reddings Honda.
but Petrucci is riding Cal's machine from last year and has Cal's old crew chief, who know that bike well and can help him... Scott and his team are new to the bike on the other hand and are learning and improving together every time he is out on track.. even the team principal said they need time

R1LYS1:
MattyMKO745:
R1LYS1: Nice Qualify, Maybe Pedrobot has been "sandbagging" during testing, Bummer for Cal Droppin it at the last corner. Yam's a bit on the backfoot over a lap. Seems pretty tight tho top 15 was within in a sec last FP. Let's get it on! Redding: Top six is 'realistic goal' at Losail Really Scot? Really??? Midpack at best
before you start slating him even more, go and read press release from him today.. a lot of things will clear your mind... it's quite hard to go fast, when you lack a lot of rear grip and almost no confidence at the front.. and top 6 was a target if everything would go as planned, which it didn't..
Result speak for themself, Conditions are the same for all.
and experience... something neither Scott or the team have at the moment with this bike

Tomco: Some strange times here. Mike Di Meglio ? Not a fan of Crutchlow but hes quick again so far. Redding should keep his mouth shut until he can come up with the goods - which he isnt. Should have gone to WSBK or BSB in my opinion.
if you take a look at his sector times, you would notice Scott is having some big problems with grip.. and Di Meglio got that time with the soft tire.. not bad though

R1LYS1: Redding: Top six is 'realistic goal' at Losail "Midpack at best" For the rest the usual suspects Aleix hope Suzuki give's you what you deserve a top bike
compared to others, Scott used medium tires only in the last 5 minutes and managed to get only one quick lap from it... he was using today as a test day, to test some solutions he didn't have a chance to test last week.. also he was the only one who was using the hardest rear brought by Bridgestone.. not to mention he was having some brake issues, like Cal... all that in mind, he did good job and has a plan improving tomorrow...

MotoGP » Crutchlow: I’m always sceptical at Qatar

JedPB67: What is going on with MotoGP sponsors?! CMW raided and 13 staff arrested, Drive M7 have pulled a fast one on Aspar...not sure if they've done the same with the Sepang Moto3 team of Khairuddin and Kornfeil as well, anyone?
Moto3 team is not affected by Drive M7 decision, sponsorship stays... they decided to pull out of MotoGP becuase brand is way too small and team was behind too much last year to have any sort of profit sponsoring them... they are expecting to change that in moto3.. also LCR won't be really affected by the raid, because HRC protected themself and the team and made company pay their sponsorship for this year in advance, so they have enough money for the season... and Aspar will probably be saved by Dorna if no one steps in.. they want to have an American rider on the grid

MotoGP » Redding: Top six is 'realistic goal' in Qatar

Insidejob: Nice to see him all fired up. A top six or seven? He was 13th fastest in Qatar testing, just .007 seconds ahead of Maverick Vinales. It won't be easy with the Andreas, Espargaros, Cal and Bradley. I guess they're hoping for a top 6 too.
yes he was 13th, but was only 0.2s behind Dani, who was 6th... it's true that it won't be easy, but he has as much of a chance than any other rider you mentioned..

MotoGP » Laverty sets top-three Open class target

IE22: Eugene has the speed, he just doesn't have the bike It may have more power than last year but at the end of the day this "Honda" is still a dumbed down race bike with a set speed as not to trouble the Factory Honda bikes even if they are having a bad day
a lot of people were thinking the same way as you are, when the bike was a lot worse than this year... but somehow Scott Redding managed to trouble Factory Honda on numerous occasions... I think Laverty and Hayden will produce some interesting results this year... same should go for Miller as well

cfsteezy: Abraham killin it! Watchout redding! Karel is coming for you! HRC is taking note of this for sure! Expect upegrades for Abraham first if he keeps this up! Even if this time was on a soft tyre (idk if it is or not) its still a third tier bike...so this is impressive in my book!
his time is on soft tire... but Qatar is one of the few tracks where Showa/Nissin really work... a lot of work was done on electronics, that explains why he is so up the field..
