F1 » F1 Driver of the Year vote: Full results

Apart from the cars reliability and Kimi's exceptional consistency I would have thought he would be a little lower than the 2nd position awarded to him by our overall votes. After all credit where credit is due. Nonetheless I must add that I can't criticise the guy for staying out of trouble and being so consistent, however on the merits of the last 6 races which Sebastian Vettel came from behind to win the championship should have put him at the very least in 2nd position. Oh well guess most of us don't rate Vettel very highly despite three consecutive world championships to his name.

F1 » Hamilton blitzes Barcelona on final outing

I said it earlier on another thread, I truly hope this isn't an attempt by Lewis to grab some PR headlines by going all out on the minimal fuel load but rather a true reflection of a normal attempt on the super soft tyres. It would be nice come Melbourne the Mercedes team still has something up it's sleeve. This would without a doubt put the cat among the pigeons within the F1 paddock.

F1 » Button worried by lack of McLaren pace

Ghog, as is usually the case with you, you tend to enter the fray without any inclination of thinking prior to writing your dribble. If you think my language is quirky then obviously you require greater assistance than is available to you. Besides judging by the history of your past posts they always tend to be of a nonsensical nature. We've never had an exchange of views (quite frankly I hope we never do) but you seem to dive in head first on all your commentary. Think before you write mate.

F1 » Button worried by lack of McLaren pace

O.K Richard I can see we are not going to see eye to eye on this one so I'll let it go. Suffice to say that even the drivers foresee difficulty in qualifying for Q3. If that comes from the drivers then it doesn't bode well for the team especially MW as ultimately the buck stops with him. I don't want to make excuses for any team who are not where they need to be. As a consequence I'm sure MW is feeling the pressure before we have even begun the first race. Fans are wondering what the heck is it with this team nowadays McLaren's domination is on the decline especially while MW has been in charge.

F1 » Button worried by lack of McLaren pace

Hello Richard, I'm sure from our previous exchanges you know what I meant in reference to McLaren's position in the pecking order. After all being a team with an immaculate racing pedigree they can't afford to start 2 seconds off the pace and then play catch up. They need to be ready to go from the starting blocks. The season as you so eloquently put it may in reality begin when the teams get back to the European races but as you well know, what is the point of handing you rivals this type of advantage only to play catch up for the remainder of the season or at least a major part of the season.
