I do not agree with the concept of a single manufacturer being annointed to provide one "super" tyre. I believe it was a better competition when we were allowed the privilidge of seeing Michelin vs Pirelli vs Dunlop etc. The teams and drivers need to be able to make *some* equipment choices - as well as tactics and approach - and sometimes they get it right. I agree that perhaps there need to be limits which assist in affordablility but we are giving up too much with this "one size fits all" mentality. What next - a single engine manufacturer to go with the limited range of gearboxes etc.? Quelle horreur (sp!) Bring back the competition...
