F1 » Rosberg comfortably wins season-opener

It was a great race. I am happy for Nico, Dan and Kevin. They were pretty much untouchable. Ron could be right about Kevin being something special. The highlight of the race for me was Bottas carving through traffic - twice. He looks like he could be up mixing with the guys at the front very soon. I feel sorry for Massa being taken out at the first corner. Cold tyres and the new brake-by-wire system make hard braking into the first corner a real gamble.

F1 » Hamilton beats Ricciardo to pole

The only way you can understand Taipan's apparent obsession with Hamilton fanboys is if you were here years ago when they invaded Crash and behaved like star-struck tweens (something like Justin Bieber fans). Fortunately most have left. I personally can't understand why any true racing fan would "follow" just one driver. I think the racing is the most important thing regardless of who is winning.

F1 » Hamilton fastest as Mercedes shows pace

Back on topic, I don't think anybody has dared to push 100% yet given the current state of development of the respective PUs so it is still not really possible to get a true sense of the speed of the various car/driver combinations. As of today the Mercedes do appear to have the upper hand still but tomorrow should be a better guide. Having said that, I understand that some teams may skip FP3 to avoid any potential mechanical glitches etc that might make it near impossible to repair in time for qualifying.

F1 » F1 set for ‘the ultimate reality check’

People can speculate until the cows come home. Eventually a few will be proven correct but most will probably be proven wrong. I doubt anybody making predictions has any claim to prescience. However, most seem to agree that Mercedes powered cars have the edge at the moment. If those cars are reliable they may be proven correct. Perhaps the Ferrari powered cars will be more reliable and fuel efficient. The thing is - we don't know - and we won't know until the racing begins in earnest.

F1 » Hamilton ‘more fired up than ever’

Jayne: Morning all. Thanks to all you defended me for having an opinion!! Kushna: Its the hype I hate not his driving skills. I hate the way the media kisses his bottom and despite his ability he has only one championship. I hate the way the fanboys take every criticism into the gutter with their personal comments. Are my kids nutty?...They are definitely all sane and upstanding tax paying young men! Taipan: Yes am going to Silverstone but also to Hungary!
Ignore the fanboys. It hurts them more than anything else. A complete driver can rise above adversity under most circumstances and they avoid unnecessary distractions. That is why, for now at least, I don't consider Lewis a complete driver. His fanboys can't see the reality though.
