F1 » Webber on top at Suzuka with first pole of 2013

The wieght of the driver does make a fair difference, as we saw in 2009 with all the drivers except for Webber (rough BMI of 22 going down to 70 would put him on the border of underweight) shedding weight for the introduction of KERS. KERS adding 30kg to the car without the min. weight limit of the car being changed, meaning that vettel gets an extra 17kg of ballast to place in hes car at a lower center of gravity and better overall balance. I won't pretend to know how many seconds that would save but it must make a difference or every driver would've stayed at the same weight from the previous years. The cars next year will have an even harsher weight restrictions, where JB and PDR may be disqualified from races if they gain any weight. PDR has said that he is already 4kg under what is considered hes healthy weight. This is a stupid rule which could prevent some of the best drivers in the world from competing in F1.
