Cheated out of a world championship by Briatore and Piquet , lost that race he was winning due to them and their cheating . If only he could regain his pre accident form and mindset , seems too nice a person to be a F1 driver , you have to be able to manipulate inside the team and be selfish and ruthless to get to the very top. Thats what Alonso did on occasions if you examine his history. Most world championships in most sports are won or lost in the mind

I believe William Young's comment to be out of order .Michael Dunlop said racing won't be the same in response to Ryan announcing his retirement. Michael's stance on supertwin is his own business.

I agree entirely with Al's comments . if maldonaldo had NO friday running all last year and bruno senna had fridays it might have been a bit different.The guy showed enough potential to get another year in F1 .His name seems to be a millstone around his neck rather than a plus for him

Crash wont allow me post the web address for John Surtees to be knighted campaign , just google John Surtees to be knighted and it will take you to the website. Its a disgrace this man has not yet been knighted for services to racing when lesser figures have already achieved this status

John Surtees OBE should be Sir John Surtees . There is a campaign presently seeking signatures to promote this. He is the only man ever to be world champion on 2 and 4 wheels. Nobody in motorsport is more respected than John Surtees . He is a true lover of racing. A pure racer from a time when real legends raced.

Wonder what Kobi would have done with a works McLaren drive ? , my guess is he would have astonished a few people with his qualifying pace and could have gone on to great things. He certainly astonished Button in his very first F1 drive as he stuck to Button like a leech
