F1 » New chassis for Vettel in Monza

benignlyindifferent: Question. Under the new formula, and with money no object as you hypothetically set your new driver lineup, who would be your top two drivers? Mine would be Ricciardo and Alonso.
If I wanted the two fastest drivers, it would be Alonso and Hamilton. Although I don't think they like working with each other :p If I was to choose drivers based off who I like, it would be Ricciardo and Grosjean/Massa. Simply because of Ricciardos talent, and because Grosjean has proven he is a good driver, this years Lotus is just dreadful. Oh and Massa has just been having Webber spec bad luck this season.

F1 » Horner: We never thought Ricciardo would be this strong

JohnMarston: At what point does he become RBR #1 driver? If not already..
I don't think there's much point in Red Bull going back to the whole no.1 no.2 thing, the results this year sort of dictate who is leading anyway lol. You know how some people (including myself) think that Vettel is going to be off to Ferrari in the next couple of years? Well given the way Ricciardo is driving, the heritage of his last name, and his great personality, I think Ferrari might have some ideas already. . .

F1 » Hamilton: Rosberg admits he hit me deliberately

I've been thinking about the Mercedes situation, and it makes me realise just how well Red Bull actually handled the tough driver relationship between Sebastian and Webber. Multi-21 was the final straw in their relationship, but even then both Webber and Vettel got on with the job for the rest of the year and put it behind them. Hell, they even crashed in Turkey 2010. The whole Rosberg and Hamilton situation is just, I don't know, a little bit immature in my opinion. It seems like they are consistently bickering with each other. Which, as a Ricciardo fan, I should be very happy with. Like DontTalkNonsense said, if these two keep this up we might have Australia's 3rd world champion!

F1 » Verstappen gets 2015 Toro Rosso drive

Good on him! I wish him the best of luck in his F1 career. 17 is what I would class as the youngest acceptable age for a F1 driver. Red Bull obviously have faith in his talent, and there is certainly nothing wrong with young drivers. Alonso was the youngest ever world champion in 2005. Hamilton came runner up by one point in his first year of F1. People had doubt due to Raikkonen's experience with junior Formula's, and he is now rated as one of the best. Vettel was a 4 time champion by age 26, Webber only began his career when he was that old. When you think about it, the younger F1 drivers have actually proven to be the best in the modern era. Talent is talent, it doesn't matter which numbers are on their birth certificate.
