F1 » Grosjean ups pace at Jerez test

I like Grosjean. He is a great young driver, and hopefully he can put last year behind him. Once he gains more confidence he will do very well. And with Raikkonen and Grosjean driving for Lotus, I could see them having a large effect on the Championship. I am not saying they will win the championship, I am saying that they will have an effect if they start winning races and finishing above the main championship contenders.

F1 » Newey: Rule change led to slow start

I feel so sorry for Adrian, he is a genius no doubt about it. It's a shame they are restricting him, it's a bit like forcing your son to play rugby even though he is good at football, but that's the way the cookie crumbles I guess. In 20 years they will look back at him and think "Wow, imagine what he would have been capable of if we didn't make rules just to stop him". Oh well, all he can do is keep pushing the barriers, and keep showing the FIA what he is truly capable of. You go Adrian, you have my full respect.

F1 » Mercedes: New engines won’t mean economy runs

@Richard. I can agree with what you're saying. It's going to be interesting to see what the teams do to get maximum performance and economy out of the V6's, and how they apply it to road cars. And with Americans starting to use smaller cars, like the Prius, which is mainly for status, but at least it's better than them driving around in old V8's. Oh well, we shall see what the new era brings be it good or bad. But I guess the main reason I have a strong view, and comments on the V6's is because I always watch Youtube videos of the old V10's and it makes me smile, and at the same time makes me cry a little on the inside knowing that they are not raced anymore, and will probably never be raced again. I'm just a massive V10 fanboy. P.S here are some of the videos. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7lVtrBlCcDg www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUxoWDc2Qmg www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0wK2Hs8g g (put an underscore between the two g's, no spaces)

F1 » Mercedes: New engines won’t mean economy runs

I absolutely agree with Paul. The amount of fuel F1 cars use is so minute compared to the amount of fuel used worldwide, if you were to make a graph of the amount of fuel F1 cars in total used on a race weekend, compared to the total amount of fuel used by all cars in the world on a weekend, the number for F1 cars would be too small to represent (I don't mean that too seriously but you get it). If people actually wanted to save fuel, they would go to America and replace all those V8/V10 utes, and even V8 cars, with small Ford Fiestas. But seriously, look at most of the cars in America, they are all pretty much V8's, and the only thing they are used for is so they can drive to McDonalds and back, or drop their kids off to football training. Now I'm not targeting America on purpose, I'm just using it as a good example. Don't ruin my sport just because it's an easy target for you environmentalists.
