MotoGP » Marquez masters elements to match Ago at Assen

Rossi really paid dear for making a stupid decision to and started in the pits, whole year he has been saying he needed to start in a good position to get any chance to usurp Marc. Ok 12th on the grid isn't exactly beside Marquez, but given the weather Gods decided to throw in a deal breaker...and with his experience, Rossi probably shldn't have much trouble in those conditions with the wets what did he and his genius team chose to do?? - Lets start from the pits. I do remember one year stoner and his mealndri did quite the same thing..on the Ducati.

MotoGP » Marquez plays down final lap near-miss

Harryx: "but Marquez said: “I passed Valentino at the end of the straight and that was my plan." It basically says "my bike is faster on the straight " Anyone who disagrees? :-)
If you had watched the race you know thats not true. Marc clearly was planning to get into the draft and outbrake the rider in front into turn 1. He is not implying that he has a better straight speed advantage.

IMO all in all this is the about the best true racing we spectators can get, the riders have a lot of mutual respects almost too gentlemen but in the age of 200mph motorcycle racing, this is probably a good thing, Rossi probably knows the best he could do was to ride a perfect race and park the bike in the corners(block). But surely he and lorenzo could only do so much to veil the discrepancies in performance between the M1 and the RCV. Marq ran wide and lost 1 second to him having to even relinquish 2nd place to dani and caught right up in a matter of 1-2 laps. then the yellow flag incident saw both repsol riders giving him another chance to protect his lead position and still. Conversely the yellow flag incident brought lorenzo right up to the pack and look where he finished. Dani was the wiser rider and definitely rode with a good strategy, I thought he was faster and conserved his rubber better than Marq and Vale, especially in the final lap. but Turn 10 was where i felt would

WSBK » Rea bemoans continued engine braking woes

i think everyone is quick to jump onto the CBR 1000 is an antique to race, the Aprilia rsv is not that new the ZX10r is not that new. the gsxr is not that new. Fact, Aprilia, Kawasaki and Ducati are running full factory efforts. the Crescent Suzuki and Ten Kate Honda are not. and the new bikes are not necessarily better bikes, these WSBK spec bikes are anything but what we buy off the showroom. Factory Kawasaki took quite a few season to get their bike competitive. its the same zx10r iteration.(at least from the appearance). and if Honda had direct factory involvment i.e HRC japan to be in the wsbk paddock. (I don't see the HRC decal anywhere on his bike thus.) my guess is JR will be having a easier time. Maybe JR is pay-rolled by honda to ride the ten kate. i am sure he wouldn't mind receiving paychecks from Japan.

MotoGP » Stoner leaves door ajar to MotoGP return

Rossi or whoever else's fans here are doing themselves no favor by saying Stoner is a pussy who only wants to run his rules. please--case in point - wasn't it Ben spies who mentioned that its the Spanish passport that has all the power to change rules in this sport? and so many other accounts of concession were made to facilitate certain things. And when certain riders made their views known they are glorified, ppl will say that he has guts to say it straight up. when stoner says somethings is always something else being interpreted. or its moaning. give me a break....

New found respect for this model sportsman. He wishes no part in all the power play within the sports and has spoken out against it but the politics and media has in certain ways- character killed a talented and valuable asset. - think JFK. Stoner understands the risks he takes to as a job and he feels hard done by , by how misunderstood and perhaps deceived the spectators are. Such is life isn't it. When you see through all the gloss and sugar coats, and its all bile. Motorsports like any other big exposure programmes will always be run by the big sponsors and they can only have one hero. The rest are antogonists.
