MotoGP » Zeelenberg: Never a moment for Marquez to dive through

Marquez never got close enough to challenge Lorenzo. He tried, but every time, his tyres got ragged. Pedrosa hung back a little, and kept his tyres closer to optimal temperature. Marquez probably intended to have a go at Lorenzo on the last lap, but Pedrosa had managed his tyres for a last lap challenge too, and they ended up fighting each other. At the same time, in managing the gap, Lorenzo had lost the edges of his tyres by the end, so Pedrosa unwittingly save Lorenzo, not Marquez. Rossi was a long way off the pace. He ran low 1 32s vs low to mid 31s. Prior to Smith, no-one else attempted to hold their position. They just let him straight through. Once he was in 4th, he went from 13 seconds behind to 20. No-one slowed him down. Afterwards, he whined again.

MotoGP » Zeelenberg: Never a moment for Marquez to dive through

Rossi wasn't fast enough. He had to rely on the bottom two thirds of the grid getting out of his way, and then, because he would have been fourth based on his lap times (even if he lapped at his BEST lap time, instead of his average) he needed "help" from both the Hondas. Unfortunately, Lorenzo stayed far enough in front that they couldn't mount an attack. Get over it. Rossi did this to himself. Even if Marquez DID do what Rossi slanderously alleges, so what? Rossi asked for it. No, he BEGGED for it. What a goat. The racing history books will simply state that the 2015 MotoGP wourld championship was duly won by Jorge Lorenzo. Rossi should have just sucked it up. Instead, he sooked it up.

MotoGP » Lorenzo holds nerve for third premier class title

Despite a great race, in which Rossi's fastest lap was nowhere near the front three, even allowing for his gutsy ride though the field, the Rossi fans are still trying to concoct a conspiracy story. Give it up. Lorenzo's rear tyre was completely shredded at the end. Marquez tried everything, and probably would have had Lorenzo until Pedrosa challenged both of them, and Marquez had to hold him off., The Hondas were fighting for their own own position - as they should. Lorenzo hung on by the skin of his teeth. He deserved his seventh race win of the season, and the championship.

MotoGP » Danny Kent wins Moto3 title!

Brilliant from both Miguel and Danny. They both did what they had to do. Kent's approach was vindicated by the usual last lap over-reach by Antonelli, as only this class can produce. Kent did well do stay out of that kind of mess. What about Ono though! Never mind the championship on the line for his team-mate, this is a race least he didn't do anything too silly. Congrats to Kent. Well earned.

MotoGP » MotoGP Valencia - Warm-up Results

Cooler conditions, and suddenly Marquez is marginally slower that Lorenzo's stunning pole lap. Ausrossi, stop whining. If Rossi kept his mouth shut, you wouldn't be saying such rubbish, and Rossi would still be in the box seat. He did it to himself. Rossi is still off the pace - albeit only slightly. If the temperature goes up, the Hondas won't be as quick. On the plus side for Rossi fans, he'll get to the front more easily.

MotoGP » Rossi pledges 'maximum', title 'desperate'

If he didn't come up with his conspiracy theory on the way to Sepang, and then blurt it out to the press, he probably would have become champion. Unfortunately for his adoring fans, he beat himself. It's a pity, because he had a great season up to that point. No doubt he'll put on a good show, but he only has himself to blame. For someone of hos talent and experience, I just find it hard to imagine what went on in his mind. He's still a great rider with a stellar record.
