MotoGP » MotoGP Mugello - Free Practice (2) Results

Great to see Ducati at the top of the time sheets, with that brilliant lap from Dovi on race tyres...the race still looks like Lorenzo v Marquez, with Dovi in the mix. Of course it's too early in the weekend to know whether Rossi has the bike set up...but given recent form, he'll be there too. Shaping up nicely! Good to see Brad Smith leading some competitive Brits too.

MotoGP » Rossi: It’s my fault

Well, Guna is a fully committed Rossi fan, but I agree with his assessment. If Lorenzo gets the start and the metronome is dialed, no-one (including Rossi) will catch him. Rossi WILL be in the mix, for no other reason than he is in good form this year, and his bike is very competitive. As much as I would like to see the Ducatis figure in the result, Iannone has a broken shoulder, and Dovi is not looking like a challenger to Lorwenzo. He might be there if he can make the tyres last. Crazy Joe has a double whammy. Crutchlow could figure here, but at this point, I'm expecting to see Lorenzo win, Rossi second, third willl be between Cal and Dovi, with Marquez close behind, and then, who knows? Anyway, good luck to all of them, and I'm hoping for a good race.

MotoGP » MotoGP Mugello - Full Qualifying Results

JL is in the box seat. He didn't have the soft tyres to qualify on. He's fast on mediums, and he has access to hard tyres...Ducati will be there, and no doubt make it exciting. Unfortunately, Marquez looks lost, which is surprising. Rossi will be in the mix, but unless Lorenzo gets a bad start, I can't see him catching JL. Props to Cal Crutchlow. Top Honda. Hope hge backs it up in the race! I don't know what's going on with Scott, he's not doing much better on the factory bike than he managed on the CRT compatible proddy...maybe the Honda is not as "amazing" as the experts on here think...

MotoGP » Top satellite Smith fights factory stars

VKal: fight? i thought you sat at six and enjoyed the actual fight between AI and MM
BS took the smart option and let them have their red mist fight to the death. He was ready to capitalise on any mistakes, or dodge the carnage. As it turned out, they got ragged, but stayed on track and on line. BS finished right up their bottles. It was an exemplary ride. Remember, rule one, beat your team mate. Pol was 14 seconds behind him. BS is very consistent. Some of the more vitriolic critics of Bs seem awfully quiet these days...
