MotoGP » Delighted Dovizioso breaks 10sec barrier

Fifth might not be much to get excited about, but battling with Rossi and Pedrosa, and staying close right to the end of the race is a great sign for Ducati. He was on medium compound tyres, same as the factory Yamahas and Hondas, and stayed pretty competitive with them. Maybe Ducati is making some progress. I hope so. It's a pity they won't have the 2015 bike to test until Sepang. The major teams will have their new bikes well sorted by then.

MotoGP » Marquez unapologetic over 'aggressive' Lorenzo pass

Yes there were some aggressive moves by both Lorenzo and Marquez, but they were all ok. He didn't use Lorenzo as a berm on that move, and although Lorenzo was balked mid corner and had to adjust, Marquez did not knock him of a proper line. He simply put his bike through the gap, and he held his line thoughout. There were also some aggressive passes between Bradders and Crazy Joe, also reasonable racing moves, but maybe towards the edge of reasonable. Also some between Rossi, Pedrosa and Dovisioso. It was good racing all round.

MotoGP » Lorenzo 'left everything on the track'

Some people say that Lorenzo never battles. Well, he gave as good as he got today. His body language looked like he was struggling with his bike towards the end of the race, whilst Marquez was as loose as ever, making him look like he rides effortlessly. That was a great ride by both of them, and props to Lorenzo for taking it to the wire. It's good to see Lorenzo back in form.

MotoGP » Marquez clear - Smith, Redding star in Silverstone FP2

Every rider wants to perform well at his home Grand Prix...Rossi at Mugello, Stoner at Philip Island, Hayden at Indianapolis, Pedrosa and Marquez at Catalunya, and so's not really a revelation to see that Smith and Redding, and Laverty for that matter, all want to overachieve at Silverstone...Good luck to them. Bradders needs to get a race result. He's shown enough in testing. Scott simply continues to impress. Underpowered bike notwithstanding. It's good to see in one way, but ultimately disappointing that he hasn't got a better bike with which to showcase his talent. Hopefully nest year...

MotoGP » MotoGP Silverstone - Full Qualifying Results

TrueFan: performance of the day goes to Scott Redding! Legend!!!
...blah blah...
I'm sorry for you that you take things so literally...Perhaps I should have added a paragraph of qualifying prose so that you don't confuse the message... For the benefit of your extremely literal interpretation, I'm not saying that Scott is a MotoGP legend, as such, just that under the circumstances, as in he is riding a Honda proddy - which, as most people understand, that couldn't drag a stump out of a puddle - his performance to beat his team-mate on substantially better kit was "legend"... Sorry that you were unable to read between the lines...

MotoGP » Pedrosa reflects on 'difficult' opening day

Motojunky: TalentFan will have a field day with his 'Tyre Conspiracy" debate after this. Lol.
Just to clarify, Talent Fan is not a vigorous proponent of Tyre conspiracy theory...that campaign belongs to ProfessorX. Talent Fan focusses on the electronic advantage based on the factory software and greater data analysis available to factory riders - particularly Hondas - and the fact that MotoGP is not a rider competition, but a manufacturer competition. Despite the relentlessnmess of their arguments, both of these gentlemen have reasonable points - that they perhaps overplay - but reasonable none the less. I don't necessarily agree with their arguments, although there is some truth in both, because for me, MotoGP is supposed to be a prototype race series, and it is about the combination of rider talent and engineering excellence.
