F1 » Button: We're not suddenly going to be competitive

The fact is, like him or not Lewis Hamilton has brought in a hell of a lot more support for this sport. .support of a younger enthusiastic energised breed this great F1 greatly needed. ...undoubtedly the David Beckham of f1 Yes he's thrown away races just like Ayrton did. .the greatest racer who was in f1 10yrs but only got 3 titles. ..I remember him 'throwing away' races due to his nature of his style. We've yet to witness the best of my all time hero Lewis. ..unlike the stars of yesteryear the racers of today's f1 are not in 2 horse races negotiating around near static cannon fodder.

ROJA I wholeheartedly agree! Bruce will be turning in his grave. .had us normal folks made the same mistakes in our chosen professions we'd be down the road by now. I see Paddy's replacement is a guy who's been their 20yrs. ..much like the way they promote in the metropolitan police. .yes, they are following the once proud Williams down the pan. ..no disrespect for Perez but he's there first pay driver. ..took a gamble my ****, they couldn't loose, not financially not with his sponsorship and his wage wage of 1.5 million....they got him on the cheap. ...While equally good experienced drivers like HK and Truli have to find alternative employment. ..disgraceful!

F1 » Hamilton delighted with maiden Mercedes outing

I'm not overly anxious about tyre wear. .Brawn played for a 2 stopper hence tyre preservation being uppermost in their minds. .the question is why go for 2 stops. .didn't they have faith in the car. .seeing how in Q3 it was only .5 off the pole setter. .all very mysterious :) ...It was clear Mercedes, in Lewis's case, was going for the win...A tactical error never to be repeated. .Mr Wolff won't stand for it.

Just a thought. ..it wld be nice if some folks stopped harking bac to the 'good old days' of f1. .shumi and Ferrari basically bought those champions much like Bramham in the 80's. .today's f1 is much fairer and a much level playing field even if some of the younger fans disagree. .believe me back then it was like 2 teams battling passing what looked liked parked cars. . Today's f1 is the golden era!

No need to be bewildered. .Lewis smoked his tyres defending from Fernando. .hence his lack of pace and the subsequent third stop, reference Mr Brawn ...the good news is Mercedes are on it and on red bull's tail :) Like many others have said here, Mercedes have to keep up with development. .like Mr Wolff said. ..'failure isn't an option'..the eyes of the world are upon the greatest car manufacturer in the world. .I'm only back watching the sport coz of Lewis :)

F1 » Vettel disappointed with start to the season

The regs have been basically untouched since 2009. .exploitation has been exhausted. The likes of Mr Newey will have little more to do with the 2013 cars. .it's gonna be down to driver talent & there inner teams to battle it out. .the bright light today is Lotus seemingly conquering the type issue. .One swallow doesn't mean a summer much like one race doesn't paint the end at Intergalargos
