F1 » Lauda: ‘Lewis did nothing wrong’

An inevertible result of having two NO1s and letting them race and no more. Hamilton takes every chance he can get and a number where he can't but he still go's for it. I see in this a move to support Hamilton as De Facto NO1 within the team and force Rosburg to accept team orders. Unfortunate but an inevertible result of ultimately being unable to control two people who both want to win.

F1 » Grosjean: Move to ‘big four’ the target

It is obvious to most that Mclaren are undecided about their future drivers, if they can't land Alonso/Hamilton/Vettel then they will have to take somebody else if they decide that there is no point in keeping Button. Boullier is Grosjean's manager so there is a strong link. I doubt that Mclaren will land any of the above three because they are well aware that Mclaren has'nt produced a good car for several years so they will have to take a second stringer with potential or keep Button. I thought Alonso would possibly go back to Mclaren but it looks as if he's at Ferrari to the end of his career. Grosjean is fast enough to give Button plenty of trouble if he stays as he's not exactly thrashing Magnussen.

F1 » Maldonado keen for Grosjean to stay

He needs to worry about his future not Grosjean's, money he may have but for how long, his backers won't keep pumping money in unless he improves and gets a good car, at the moment he is an accident waiting to happen and does'nt appear able to improve his racecraft, a win he has but the chances of a second are less than nil within two years he will be gone, there's a long line of drivers after a drive many of then with money, oh and talent!

F1 » Rossi reveals Haas talks

I'm sure Jacques Villaneuve will have approached them as well, he's only 93 and still believes he can cut it at the top level, seriously though there will be dozens of people coming out of the woodwork thinking that this is their big chance, I can only say dream on, the team is'nt even on the grid yet and come 2016 may not even be in a position to start racing, basing your team in the States for whatever reason is about as daft as it gets, England is the centre of F1 and I'm sure Haas knows that so why is he making a rod for his own back?

F1 » Sauber doesn’t need a new car – Kaltenborn

Whatever they do it will be irrelevant as they will still be a lower mid grid team. As for drivers you can perm any number of pay drivers and second stringers and the results will be the same, it's a catch 22 situation, you have no money a crap car and you won't get a top driver, a shame because Sauber has a good reputation and has produced some good cars but until they can obtain a bigger budget the situation will remain the same.

F1 » Button: No reason to want to change

I don't believe it will be his choice, RD is clearly looking to get a top driver in a Mclaren ASAP maybe for next season. If Button does stay on I'm sure RD will insist that his pay is reduced to a much lower level, possibly pay by race and results. I'm sure that come 2016 Button will be gone and one of Alonso/Hamilton/Vettel will be safely esconced at Mclaren on a mega contract.

F1 » 2014 car ‘a laboratory’ for next year – Boullier

I thought they were supposed to be trying to win races, did they tell Button that this season was going to be used just for research? no of course not Boullier is just doing what he does best "Bullshitting" in an effort to cover up yet another below average season. It is highly likely that next season will be even worse for Mclaren as with a new engine and yet another crap chassis there will be no hiding place. Button would be better off out of it and F1. He has plenty of money and does pretty well in Triathlons, has a lovely lady and can't really need the hassle of driving uncompetitive cars year in year out.
