F1 » Wolff calls for ‘relentless’ Mercedes

He's in charge so it's up to him to ensure that Mercedes maintain their advantage. Personally I believe that when Renault get up to speed we can expect Red Bull to run them very close. Hopefully we when then find out if Hamilton is as good as he thinks he is. It stands at 4/1 now so he's a way to go to match Vettel. I don't see anybody else matching Mercedes and Red Bull, Williams/Force India will drop away as the season progresses and Ferrari and Mclaren are unlikely to make inroads into Mercedes advantage, in short Red Bull are the only team capable of matching Mercedes and I hope that happens because at least we will have a competition rather then the usual procession.

F1 » Hamilton: Vettel ‘must show leadership’

That's a bit ripe coming from Hamilton, I'm not too sure that he has managed to show any leadership during his time in F1, like Vettel he's fine when everything is going his way but it's when it's not that's when the big boys stand up and I hav'nt seen any of that from Hamilton. He seems more interested in dreary American singers, dogs and funny haircuts but I suppose he will eventually grow up.

F1 » F1 'insiders' doubt wisdom of Haas’ US-based bid

It's a mistake to come in-PERIOD, wherever its based be it on the moon or in the Balls Pond Road, these new teams have not a jot in hell of progressing and just block up the track for the leading teams, personally I think that is a great shame but while there is no inclination to level out the playing field the situation will continue. Why cannot Bernie and the FIA see that if you want to have more teams it makes sense to give then every chance to be successful, at the moment it seems to be come and join us and fail within a couple of years because there will be no help because all the others are just too greedy or disinterested to care.

F1 » Boullier: McLaren believes it will win in 2014

I think Boullier is being highly optimistic, he might as well believe black is white. This season is turning into a repeat of last season where Mclaren started well behind and despite all the upgrades fell further and further behind as the season progressed. This must ultimately be down to the design staff who appear to lack the basic knowledge that the other designers have, how else can one put it, the other Mercedes powered teams including Williams are well ahead and even Lotus has caught up with less power. Much as I like Button I don't believe the problems he has with set-up and tyres helps the team, also he does'nt have that balls out qualifying lap within his repetoire in fact he seems more than happy to take the money and tool around in mid field and ret ire a rich man, not really what is needed when there does'nt seem to be much leadership and inspiration in the team. I imagine RD is still hoping to get Alonso on board together with Honda as he has the ability to outperform his

Sportscars » Porsche boss ‘proud’ of LMP1 comeback

The current cars are ugly beyond belief, I can't imagine in thirty years time any collector saying I must have one of those it's so beautiful. Hopefully more manufacturers will come in as well so that we have a true World championshipand it would be good if private teams could buy and run these cars like they did with the 917/956/62 it would help boost the grids like we had in the Group C days, however the cost and complexity of these cars may well be beyond most private entrants. I really hope sports car racing gets it's act together because i've always preferred it to F1.

F1 » Wolff in favour of cost cap

His hypocrisy is stunning, Mercedes are spending more money than ever to win the championship and we should not expect any less from the man who helped maneuver Ross Brawn out of the team. These people have egos the size of elephants and have no concern for anybody but themselves, just hope Mercedes win the championship as he might just find himself removed from his position, what goes round comes round!

F1 » McLaren: New F1 title sponsor is happening

I can understand that this is relevant to Mclaren but they have already stated that their budget for 2014 is their biggest ever yet once again they have failed to produce a competitive car. Not sure what relevance an even bigger budget will have on a team that appers to have lost it's way and is struggling to remain a leading force in GP racing. New brains and a total rethink are what is needed not more money, having the largest budget may be good for RD's ego but it does little if you don't spend it correctly as Toyota and others have found out.
