F1 » Boullier: McLaren experience shining through

It's a pity that Mclaren did'nt use some of their so called expeirience to design a good car in the first place, we then would'nt be having this continuing bleeting about how much they are improving and how they get the best out of a crap car. Despite all this "talking up" of their performances they have of course achieved very little for a long time, a few race wins is all they have to show for it and one drivers championship in 2008 and a constructor's as long ago as 1998 I think, not really the performance of a leading team. It remains to be seen if the second coming of RD has any real effect.

F1 » 'Hamilton unbeatable if head in right place'

Button could be slagging off Hamilton but he's not he just saying what most of us realise, that Hamilton in the right frame of mind is the quickest out there. "right frame of mind" is the important bit, he makes silly mistakes, plays silly games, wear's silly hats and has a silly dog and an extremely overated girlfriend, on the other hand Rosburg gets on with the job with no bull**** and stupid remarks or excuses, I know who my monies on!

F1 » McLaren increasing upgrades following progress

I don't see Mclaren progressing much more, everybody is improving and for Mclaren to make the quantrum jump that is needed is I believe beyond the team at present. They may well get a few more good placings but to suggest that they could win a GP or compete at the front on a regular basis is something that is only in RDs head. I'm sure Button will drive the car to it's limit but that limit is way behind the best cars and will stay that way. The only way a large improvement will come is from the new staff arriving who will hopefully have a rather better handle on car design than the present crew. Honda will be expecting a top car and I hope that Mclaren can produce it.

F1 » Hamilton takes home win as Rosberg retires

Another boring race enlivened by Vettel and Alonso actually doing some racing, other than that it was the usual procession. I would have preferred Hamilton to win having had a proper fight of it with his teammate and others but that is not the way of F1 these days. Does'nt look as if anyone is going to get anywhere near to the Mercedes this season which is a great pity as I was looking forward to some proper racing after four seasons of Vettel domination. I can't really see the situation improving as the tops teams spend more and more money and the others fall further and further behind.
