F1 » Raikkonen surprised to be as high as sixth

There were still some problems but he did what he could. Things will improve. The good new is that despite the different conditions in FP and Q the drivers of Mercedes, Red Bull and Ferrari were the fastest out-there. With Sepang being much more a F1 circuit than Albert Park, the pace of the cars is more representative here. I said this is a good new because those teams uses different engines so 2014 won't be a fight between just Mercedes-powered cars, despite the germans still having the upper hand.

F1 » Rosberg: We didn't maximise everything

At FP2 Red Bull and Ferrari were very close to Mercedes in term of the best laps. Anyway it was only FP2, I believe that on race pace Mercedes will be able to pull a few tenth more per lap. Anyway here in Malaysia there are two problems for Mercedes. First being a track with many high speed corners will emphize aerodynamics. Red Bull RB10 has a good level of downforce and seemingly Ferrari has too. Second with the heat of Sepang many problems will arise. I am not only speaking about engine's cooling but tyre degradation, Mercedes's achilles heel at the last couple of years. In FP2 Red Bull looked to handle it better. Anyway with mixed weather predicted anything could happen this weekend, so it will be interesting.

F1 » Malaysian Grand Prix preview

Talking about the topic, the heat of Malaysia should cause many problems to the engines. Any chance we could see more retirements than in Melbourne? The Mercedes engine despite being the most powerful, isn't bullet proof after all. Hamilton could tell something about it. Ron Dennis is confident that McLaren will be a lot closer to Mercedes than it was in Melbourne. And we didn't saw yet Williams racing at the front, on clear air. I believe that most of the teams have still to show their best. I just hope to see many drivers doing some overtaking, not just Bo77as.

F1 » New chief for Russian F1 Grand Prix

Taipan: Richard, If that's the case F1 shouldn't really be coming to the UK or USA, lets face it we invaded Iraq and Afghanistan for no good reason whatsoever. At least the people of Crimea seem to want to be part of Russia. Edit, I should probably add, No I don't agree with how Russia have gone about this but it really does piss me off when Western nations condemn the actions of other nations when we're just as guilty of the same things.
Taipan, the borders of some countries of Eastern Europe were decided at the time of USSR and are inaccurate. So these things happens. In the Balkans the situaton is similar but these countries can't challenge the power of USA and EU (Serbia tried and was defeated in 1998). Anyway F1 should race at Sochi IMO, the sports are a different thing.

F1 » Elated Rosberg still aware of work to do

Rosberg looked to have the situation under control all the race. The W05 is very fast so expect him and Lewis to win the coming races if the car will be reliable enough. Today I saw Rosberg dissapering into the distance and Bottas racing for real. The other driver were just moving around (despite the great job done by Riccardo, Magnussen) waiting for the pitstops. That's not exciting at all.

F1 » Massa: Definitely more to come

vinu: I want the williams do better this year. Its disheartening ti see that such a passionate team languishing at the middle and lower order for some years now. Do well Massa. You are a very good driver.
Don't worry man, Williams will do a lot of better tomorrow and all year long. Every F1 fan wants to watch Williams amongst the top teams. The season is quite long and it will be unpredictable but a top five finish in the WCC is inside the possibilities of the Grove team. GO WILLIAMS!

F1 » Friday running ‘a big relief’ for Vettel

I don't like neither Vettel nor Red Bull but the idea of them failing to finish the race was getting me sick. I am on the side of the people that thinks that Vettel has still to prove that he is one of the all time greats, despite having already won very much. But how can he prove that if his car would fail to finish the races. With a reasonable reliable car which looks some tenth down on Mercedes and maybe a few other cars as well, this looks the perfect situation. C'mon Vettel! It's up to you now!
