F1 » Horner: Mateschitz deserves Austria praise

I agree with Horner! Every F1 fan should thank Mateschitz for making possible that Austria held again an F1 race. Especially after they didn't change the characteristics of the old A1 Ring. Tracks like that has never been RBR strongest points, so Mateschitz deservers praise for not changing the layout, in order to suit his teams. He took the risk of Red Bull/Toro Rosso making a bad showing in their home race, which they did, just for us, the F1 fans, who loves the good old circuits. I think that from 2001 to 2007 many old circuits where ruined by the modifications done on them. I really don't like much the Tilkedromes, exept Shanghai, Sepang ( I think A1 Ring is also a Tilkedrome but I am not sure), so I am full of praise for Mateschitz.

F1 » Mattiacci: Gaps are coming down

Lauda also said that the others are closing the gap to Mercedes. In Austria it was only Williams managing to run close to Mercedes for the whole race. Prior to that it was Red Bull (in general), so gaps are coming down. But to beat Mercedes is another story, they still enjoy much advantage over the rest of the field, epecially their PU is a lot better compared to rivals PUs. And without speaking of the standings. There Mercedes looks unreachable, more than the double of RBR points and 200 + more than third placed Ferrari.

F1 » Ferrari ‘doing level best’ to become competitive

Let's see if the return of an old circuit (albeit a reworked one) will manage to suit the Ferrari's cars, and they will be able to race as strong as they were in the old A1 Ring. I hope that Ferrari will be stronger this weekend. Alonso didn't got a podium when he raced there more than 10 years ago. Spielberg is the only place he raced and never got a podium. I hope that this weekend he will make amends on it :)

F1 » Mercedes puts ‘significant effort’ into avoiding Montreal repeat

Don't work that much guys! The Canadian GP was arguably the best race of the season so far. The problems of Mercedes contributed a lot for the spectacle in Montreal. As for me, I wouldn't mind if there were a few problems at the Mercedes cars from time to time. So the fans of the other teams and those which loves the spectacle more than the final result would enjoy a nice sunday!

F1 » In memory of ... the 2002 Austrian Grand Prix

fourteenseven: the 2003 race was quite a good race, after the opening laps you would never have guessed schumie was going to win
Agree with you! And the 2003 edition was the last race held at the old A1 Ring, so it made more sense to writte an article about the 2003 race rather than the controversy of 2002. Usually people do like controversies, but today that Schumacher is finally out of the coma?!! That's not nice!

F1 » Lotus: Don’t judge us on results

Lotus had been putting a lot of effort since their disastrous winter testing so I respect that. But they alongside Ferrari and McLaren and maybe RBR are the big loosers of the season so far. At least Red Bull is making a real recovery. As for Maldonado, he's last in the standings. Maybe because of the #13. That number means bad luck in F1 and a few other sports, and Pastor does put a lot of effort by himself to confirm the legend of #13.
