MotoGP » Espargaro fastest - pain in neck for Marquez

"Pain in the neck for Marquez" Well he's been a pain in the neck for every rider not named Marquez in all fairness maybe its Karma. Good thing he's not hurt lady's and gentlemen this sport is still inherently dangerous don't reduce it to merely a show a spectacle where you laugh at the misfortunes of some eg. Jorge because these guys are putting their lives on the line and it is not a game no matter how much you enjoy it. As motogp legend Marco Simoncelli (RIP) said "You live more in five minutes of going fast on a motorcycle than most people do in their entire lives"

MotoGP » German Moto3 - Free Practice (1) Results

Jack Miller what does the future hold all I know is as far as Aussie riders go Jack if he pulls off a moto3 title he will be the first Aussie rider to win in the moto3/125 class since Tom Phillis won it in 1961. Kieth Campbell and Kel Caruthers won a 250 and a 350 title respectively in Carruthers in 1969 and Cambell in 1957. For that reason alone Aussie fans should be very interested in what Jack is doing as the kid has the potential to be our most successful riders in not an easy feat though I even have reservations about Marc beating Doohans 5 years of back to back titles. Jack is all we've got at the moment and you can bet yourself theres alot of people who care more about his success than listening to his interview just let the riding do the talking.

MotoGP » Rossi: I have a long history with Jorge!

Now Rossi knows about these young hotshot riders like Marc that are coming up through the ranks they are fast but how fast on a gp bike are they??? No one knows but Rossi would rather take the chance with Jorge than another up and coming Marquez he's knows Jorge he doesn't know Vinales or Rabat for example but he knows Jorge and what he is up against there. I think Rossi knows that others expect the mind games so I think he's telling the truth these days and mot trying to mess with riders as he is more vulnerable now than he was earlier in his career.

MotoGP » Eugene Laverty: MotoGP talks with Aprilia, Suzuki, Ducati

People seem to forget what Laverty is capable of and circumstances surrounding his term at Aprilia. With Biaggi there does anyone remember the races where suddenly Biaggi gained 10 sec in the dry on his teammate to pashim over the line the year Biaggi won by half a point. As Biaggis teammate he towes the party line and didn't ruin Biaggis chamce at on more Aprilia title similar to what Baz will be doing right now towing the party line because Kawasaki doesn't want their world champion to lose another title he could have won easily. Anyone also notice that since Biaggi has left both Aprilia bikes are competitive week in week out??? Laverty brings somtheing that a team like Ducati corse and Suzuki need in GP a consistent rider that on the right kit can be very fast but when things go wrong isn't acting like a prima donner. Eg race two Phillip island while challenging for a second win pulls over and neatly places the bike to the side no tantrum no hissy fit no media outburst thats wha

MotoGP » Eugene Laverty: MotoGP talks with Aprilia, Suzuki, Ducati

Hard to tell what is really going on but Eugene has left good impressions with some I hope he gets a gp ride he has potential and lets face it all the up and coming talent will be wasted unles they get a Honda or Yamaha. Tom Sykes why isn't he looking at GP and why aren't GP teams looking at him well simple Kawasaki isn't looking at GP in the near future. Like Bayliss, like Doohan, like Schwantz and others Sykes is well and truly a company man right now its Kawasaki or the highway for Mr Sykes. Johny Rea and Eugene Laverty are two riders trying to do what Sykes has done get a factory ride and become a company man just their routes and approach is a little different without as much luck as Sykes rise to the top involved.

MotoGP » Dani Pedrosa re-signs for Honda

@Biaggi Well Marquez is good but there will be more riders coming up that are capable of taking him on an maybe even taking some shine away from him riders are these days are just getting better and each one slightly evolves current conventions in regard to riding style. The only dissapointing thing is not seeing more riders able to show their potential on decent kit in GP and alot of the current barriers to GP don't seem to be going away anytime soon which I feel is limiting the spectacle of the sport and riders careers.
