MotoGP » Edwards 'rides the rear', talks FTR chassis

"I'm game" Now thats the attitude I like to hear. The only problem I have with Espagaro is he can be a bit of self richeous whinger at times still a good rider though but he should have a slightly more open mind like Edwards does. Wasn't there a few guys on here bleating on about if the CBR engine was no longer the moto2 engine the chassis manufacturers wouldn't be able to adapt their chassis to that engine. Edwards seems to be of the impression that his FTR chassis with the Kawasaki engine will be adapted to the M1 engine. If true then that situation wouldn't be a complete catastrophe but an emergency none the less.

MotoGP » Lorenzo: It feels like no traction control

@therealdave Well the goal is typically to beat everyone so yeah beating your teammate is part of that. Rossi had his complaints last season with the M1 yet wasn't coming close to beating Jorge overall. Most were calling for his retirement a bit shortsighted if you look at how Rossi is coming into this season while testing can be unreliable it does however show who has momentum and confidence coming into the season. With the new tyres Jorge is low on confidence and momentum however my point is he is just telling it like it is from his position. Rossis riding style mayjust conveniently suit tue new tyres better than Jorges due to the lower edge grip taking away Jorges X factor the telemetry last season showed Jorge regularly pulling 5 degrees more lean angle than anyone else in most corners and being leaned over for longer.

Guna4699: Jorge is a drama queen and cry baby is role he plays more often... not to wait untill sunday,, no more drama when pit lane opens for QP...
And what happened last time the fans called Jorge out Silverstone after after his speech about hard riding..... he gave the fans exactly what they wanted. Accept it guys the same things were said about Stoner as they are now about Jorge accept it he's just telling it like it is guys from his perspective as the guy on the bike who actually has first hand experience oc what its like ffs.

johnny13: All the bloosheet by honda about development, pfffft tc has been on road cars for 20 years plus, bikes nearly as long, I have an ecu on my 98 blade
I'm not aware of nearly 20 years of rider aids on motorcycles not even in gp ecu yes but rider aids no. I thought 2007 onwards was roughly the time it became cool in motogp to exploit electronics. Your 98 model blades ecu while advanced at the time would have been considered a dinosaur a few years later but thats the tech age for though. Overall I'm cool with bespoke software but not so cool with rider aids, tc, wheelie control, anti rectum control etc (I'll never forget that Colin Edwards qoute). The bikes are rideable without them if a Kawasaki ZX10R or BMW S1000RR can be riden without electronics by amatuers I think even GP bikes can be ridden without them by the best in the world. How sophisticated rider aids has gotten is quite impressive I think end of 2012 Lin Jarvis did and interview talking a

did an interview pointing out how it wasn't even noticeable that the fa tory M1's where using traction control coming into and out of corners then noted how you could tell the satallite bikes tc cutting in was abrupt and noticeable and tyat they were doing it wrong if you could notice the cut. Thats just my take on how sophisticated these systems are today.

shamarone: re: "If I was head of Dorna / FIM..." ...I would resign and hand over the keys to s1. that guy's consistently been a step ahead of us here in Madrid for quite a few years now.
And you would still be the third wheel on the GP commission with your own seperate agenda.

MotoGP » VIDEO: Nicky Hayden interview

@kenluckykid69 And bingo there it is HRC is a cost centre and only a fraction of their total r&d expenduture hence the billions you mentioned are nit necessarily attributed to the rcv and the REPSOL Honda motogp team. Go ask Nakamoto loke every other journalist and he will be as coy as ever about the teams budget amd the development costs of the rcv. He has an idea but he sure as hell has no obligation to tell any of us. To say 11 million euro a year isn't significant enough to have a say in running the team is pure ignorance. Your trying to say that a small peice of the pie is the equivalent of the whole pie. Only a small fraction of the whole Honda R&D budget will ever see the rcv213v.
