MotoGP » Red Bull increases Honda backing

rbr46: Bradl gets quite a big backing from red bull. This just confirms that he will leave LCR.
Forward Yamaha looks like the next stop for bradl may be a good thing for the German losing Redbull sponsorship which I doubt they would stop backing a German rider. Riding a Yamaha might be what Bradl needs he needs a stable bike and maybe just maybe he can make a Yamaha work better for his style than the Honda. Sponsorship is the last of Bradls concerns thoughits getting the right ride for next season.

WSBK » Guintoli hopeful for Aprilia contract extension

All this Melandri championship talk imo the guy isn't cut out to be champ at least as long as Sykes and Kawasaki are around imo Melandri is the third or fourth best rider in SBK and thats behind Sykes and Rea and fairly even with Laverty over a season on equal machinery each having strengths in different areas. Sykes and Rea are the best SBK riders at the moment but Sykes is the best combo of man and machine his shenanigans with Baz cost him some brownie points with the fans but he is by far the best SBK rider and bike combo capable of becoming the best SBK rider in history.

WSBK » Guintoli hopeful for Aprilia contract extension

@lastofthelatebrakers Your delusional with a tiny bit more luck one point more luck Sykes would he chasing down a third world title this year and looking to equal Foggy next year but he will be chasing that third title next season. Saying Sykes can equal ir break Foggy's record isnt disrespectful its just the reality of the situation. The Aprilia is the fastest bike out there anything less than challenging for the lead is unacceptable. Marco is only just nudging acceptable performance on that bike atm. As regards to Max well he smoked Marco as well only it was by alot more than half a point. Sykes will win this season and if your expecting him to lose next season well we will see. Maybe nostalgia gets the better of some of us though.

MotoGP » Avintia responds to Ducati rumours

@RSMick I find the same misconception with Honda some people read their annual report and assume this 500 mil dollar figure for R&D is the budget for the rc213v and pretend like that is the only project Honda motorcycles could possibly think of to spend their R&D budget on. I doubt the Mugen that won the TT Zero class this year was cheap to build. For Kawasaki they could walk away from motorcycles and their other businesses probably wouldn't notice. I remain hopeful that Kawasaki can come back to Motogp in some competitive form even if they just provided engines as that's one thing Kawasaki is very good at imo. I'm not very hopeful of an announcement in the near future though. The Aprilia coming back early rumors have me perplexed at the moment I don't see how Aprilia can hope to sustain a WSBK and motogp factory efforts unless they are going to do it half a$$ed. The only positive for these less competitive companies is that 2016 has spec software and new tyres.

Well Sykes is doing the business Foggy I didn't care for but a great rider nonetheless and Bayliss was something special. WSBK was called the Ducati cup for a reason and Honda made the VTR's for a reason. Denying Ducatis advantages is playing blind Bayliss their is a reason why Ducati riders have won so many races sometimes it did come down to the bike just being better than the rest. Sykes is doing the business these records set by others are not out of his reach sure Max beat him by half a point but do you honestly think he wouldn't have won last season had Max stayed. Melandri has had the some of the best bikes and hasn't delivered the goods which is down to Melandri. He's good but he's not the best SBK racer today.

WSBK » Guintoli hopeful for Aprilia contract extension

"Eugene + Marco would be a good squad for next year, Eugene is a proven commodity on that bike, hopefully Aprilia are serious and Eugene only has to serve 1 year at Suzuki." He's in talks for riding in Aprilias motogp team though I doubt they would want Melandri and Laverty on the same team. Team orders would mean sweet stuff all with that combo. I wonder how Melandri would feel if Laverty did get the motogp ride and he got left behind in wsbk. Time will tell all anyway.
