MotoGP » Dall'Igna: New engine ‘first step’ for 2015 Ducati

@Codger Almost poetic is your description is wait no its realistic. As gp fans we are poorer for not ever having the priveledge to see what Stoner was capable of in todays climate. Some dismiss him to the pages of history which is where he'll remain. Others mock him and say he wouldn't stand a chance against him citing 2012 as the season Stoner apparently proved he couldn't defeat Dani Pedrosa on equal machinery. 2012 was a bad year for Stoner arm pump at Qatar followed by surgery then won at two tracks he had never won at before then the chamge in tyre construction and chatter issues that put Honda on the back foot then Stoners then Stoners crash at Indy which ended his championship run. Without that injury Stoner would have been their till the end and Jorge wouldn't have had such an easy time in the end. Stoner on an average he was good on a good day he was unstoppable Marc wouldn't always have it his own way.

MotoGP » Dall'Igna: New engine ‘first step’ for 2015 Ducati

Interesting to see how they can achieve this. Things we currently know in MotoGP are: Max bore size of 81mm Max capacity of 1000cc Things we don't know are: What the true capacity of the each manufacturers bikes is. Honda stated that hey have a larger capacity than 800 but not to what extent. Only that it was enough that continuing with the same angle engine as the 800 wouldn't have been of any benefit compared to the 90 degree engine. Could Ducati reduce the stroke and still maintain on par or similar power than Honda and Yamaha. Personally I'd hate to see the desmo valves go as that's one of the things that makes it a Ducati.

MotoGP » Moto2: Lowes slips out of podium place

Hahaha the GP elitist crowd a daft bunch as usual oh but he's not Rossi/Marquez calibre niether is 99% of every other GP riders in history Marquez as good as he is struggled to an extent but you have to say Sam (I think I finally got it right) isn't worthy of his ride lol. First year in grand prix racing the guy isn't doing bad at all and he isn't there to just make up the numbers either what more do people expect. I know they expect to only hear articles about a sepect few riders. Personally I'd like crash to get hold of Ant West if he's finished celebrating yet :)

MotoGP » Moto2: Lowes slips out of podium place

@Moto89 It will be interesting to see Fabio Quartararo in GP's the guy is definitely super quick and even better he's he youngest ever spanish national champion (formerly Aleix Esp) and isn't Spanish himself. I forsee a tech 3 ride in his future somewhere. Speakjng of the future Miller I believe will be stronger in moto2 and motogp than moto3 the moto3 bikes don't suit his riding style imo. Remember he comes from the same school of racing that Stoner came from and has a similar style from all those dirt track and motocross events Miller ride in. I see Miller moving to moto2 or motogp as soon as possible while a title would be nice for him I don't think its a pre requisite for him moving to another class. Fenati and Marquez are the others that will either step up or win the title next year if they don't this year. Moto3 is almost like watching the second coming of Stoner, Rossi and M Marquez racing in the guise of Miller, A Marquez and Fenati. All of them are world champion calib

MotoGP » ‘Scared’ Lorenzo haunted by Assen injury

I called it at the start of the week Jorge now knows the danger of sketchy conditions amd in these conditions wasn't going to push at all. This season was over a lot earlier for Lorenzo and weekends like this one where the weather is crap he wasn't going to push in anything but full dry conditions and will be the same for the rest of the year. One thing Jorge needs to do is forget about the championship because that will deoress anyone that is considering challenging Marc and just ride for respect because he doesn't have championship pressure anymore and doesn't need to rude for results. He may as well start riding for fun and place no pressure on himself to perform imo.

MotoGP » Assen MotoGP - Race Results

Ride of the day for me Parkes as a rookie GP rider on a bike that isn't as good as the proddy Hondas or Westies win in moto 2. They both get ride of the day in my book. Dovi does he really want to win a race with the restrictions that would be placed on him and/or Ducati??? I though he might have had some more fight but maybe not, top ride nonetheless. Aleix doing everything right full marks for effort and execution this weekend.
