F1 » Hamilton wins first F1 race in Russia

Looks like Nico is beginning to fall apart. His teammate is almost always a tick faster. Please don't try and make something out of the final gap. The drivers really don't care much about that. They care about position . Obviously LH could have gone faster if pushed so I don't think for a second nico was gonna beat him without the driver error that cost him. Lewis has way more wins than Nico . Starting together on the grid, mech issues aside nico has only beat Lewis 1 time. How many times has Lewis beat nico in the same situation ? 8-9 maybe. I can't wait to see all the haters get excited about the 2x point finale. Especially since when it was Lewis trailing you"all said how horrible of a rule it is. EDIT by CRASH.NET! MotoGP » Rossi: Marquez improved, but 2013 more impressive

Yearby23:
R6Ryder: Valentino will be very hard to beat in Phillip island and sepang. 2 of his better circuits. Valencia... Not so much. I think its very possible that he can still finish 2nd this year. I think we all expected Jorge to close up. If not for the accident in aragon VR would still have a comfy lead on Jorge. That is racing however. I'm still excited to see who finishes 2nd
Yeah if not for the crash at Aragon....but you could say IF Jorge hadn't crashed at Qatar and jumped the Indy start and failed at Assen he'd be far infront of Rossi... All if and buts....
That is exactly why in my post I wrote "but that is racing". There are countless variable at play . I realise that Jorge made a mistake that cost him a full race. Also rossi had a pit lane start or 2, a failed tire. We could go on all day. I say they are equal in that sense and as of right now rossi is ahead.

Where's your basis on saying he'll be hard to beat at Philip island? He didn't win there last year or the 6 years before then... Sepang however is a better track for him.
He's won the race there like 7 times. He beat Jorge there in 08, almost beat Casey in 09, rode injured in 10, 11,12 was Ducati. I think he will be in the fight for the win. I'm not even saying "rossi will win PI" just that when on pace and a good setup he can be fast. He almost beat Casey in 09 which is a feat at PI just to hang, in 08 he came from like 15th and got 2nd. I feel the way

MotoGP » Marquez: We struggled

Yearby23: Casey had similar problems in either 2011 or 2012 going down the hill on the big brakes... Ran off a few times. So did Rossi during last years race. I don't blame them, it looks like a terrifying corner to approach.
I remember Casey having the run off for the same reason as well. I also agree that it looks difficult. Every time I see the GP guys coming down that hill hard on the brakes i cringe! You all gotta know that's one of those areas where the a-hole puckers up to the size of a decimal point!

MotoGP » Rossi: Fight for second ‘getting interesting’

Evolution:
R6Ryder: I know many of you'all thought VR would never have a shot at beating dani and or Lorenzo ever again! With that said I think even if he comes 4th he still put up a great fight. Imagine if he was still 28. He would be fighting with mm for the title IMO
He don't need to be 28. If Yamaha would as good as they are now in the begining of the season MM wouldn't lead the championship by that far. Still i think the yamaha bikes is not good enough to match The level of VR and Jlo. And one thing more Vr is damn fit as when he was 28.
True that. He is riding well. At times I think he accepts that MM is faster. And I think he looks at it as an age thing. Maybe I'm wrong. I know he still feels like he can win. But back then he had to win.

F1 » Japanese Grand Prix – Race results

Fullofit: I don't think he pulled over to let him through. We saw him have a moment coming onto the start / finish straight which was always going to give Lewis a run at him ... and in dry conditions going defensive on the inside early would have made sense. But to pull onto the wet part of the track and leave the dry line open into what's normally a 1 line corner was just amateurish. He was always going to need to break earlier and that was going to lose him the corner. Not great racecraft.
Whatever his reasoning I think the pass was going to happen no matter what he did or didn't do. LH pulled a few seconds on him in the next few laps after the pass. He had more pace.
