F1 » Raikkonen expected difficult Ferrari F1 return

I found it interesting that as in Spain when Kimi qualified ahead of FA, they brought FA in for the first pit stop, instead of their first driver on the track, so that FA could leap frog Kimi on the track. In Abu Dhabi, when KR outqualified FA again, they brought FA in first again. FA had a clause in his contract that he said he had to be first, even when he wasn't the best, & Ferrari did that.

F1 » F1: Alonso takes ‘satisfaction’ from beating Raikkonen

I was surprised by the failure of the NBC computers during the race. When the Ferrari drivers were racing I was waiting for the talking heads to tell us how many more laps Kimi had on his tires due to a screw-up on his 2nd pit stop so that he only got 2 pitstops than FA had on his with 3 pitstops. It never came. I am sure that the computers must have crashed for a few minutes. I believe that it would be easier to watch F1 on NBC with Danny Sullivan in the crew. Perhaps an American on the NBC crew would encourage more US fans to follow F1.

F1 » F1: Raikkonen: ‘I can easily go a lot faster’

tommytrojan1: What I can't quite understand is why Ferrari - with all their technical nous and acumen - can't build TWO cars that are suitable for unique driving styles, especially when you're paying MILLIONS to a driver whose driving technique is already a known quantity and is markedly different from his team mate. Is it really that hard? F1 cars are, and have always been, PROTOTYPES. They aren't production models built in the hundreds of thousands in some factory, they are uniquely designed - down to the dimensions of the **** cheeks of the driver sitting in it. Why on earth is Kimi struggling with a car that seems so ill-suited to him?
Me either. Lotus could give him a car where he got many podiums & a win each year he was with them.

F1 » What we learned at the Russian Grand Prix

Folks, Just as a technical point, out of curiosity, technically could Marussia have run Chilton in the Jules' car after Max's went out due to vibrations on lap 17 in Sochi...? Jules car was scrutineered & set to go but they did not run it out of respect. But are there any regulations that would have prohibited Max from racing the other car...? Thanks. :)

F1 » Montezemolo’s Italian GP comments criticised by boss

If Luca wants to keep his job he is going to need results & to get those results he is going to have to start backing Kimi as his first driver. If he does not get results & is ousted, FA's $100 million is not going to matter to him. Williams has less than half of their budget & is doing better. Williams has less than half of their budget & is doing better.
