F1 » Wolff: Hamilton 'surprised' by Rosberg pace

Carsohot. I'm a Lewis fan but your assumption that every doubter is an idiot and couch potato only makes me feel Tai has a point when it comes to 'some' of hamilton's fans on here. His team mates name is Rosberg. Do him the consideration of getting it right. He deserves that and so far this year has more than arguably out raced Lewis. Lewis has said so himself. I have no doubts that LH will outpace his team mate and given the car, win races. However you could be more magnanimous with your posts Just saying!

Lewis needs to put the hammer down, conserve tyres and generally improve race pace? He can't do one without ripping up the other and has no control over the third. It's the car that wins WDC's as Vettel is proving. What he can help is the consistency at which he drives. For me he can be brilliant but lacks staying there and becomes sullen. Once again see Vettel and even Alonso for consistency. Get that sorted and improve the car by a sec a lap and we have a driving battle for the WDC.

I think Lewis is a great racer. I think he is not so good on tyre management. That requires a racer to drive with control, he is still adapting (badly) to that fact. He IS a talent according to Alonso and whilst Button gave him a run for his money, he lost to a man out of sorts and wanting a move. Lewis, I hope will prove the doubters wrong. I hope he does. We shall see.

F1 » Vettel extends Red Bull deal

I don't consider My logic makes him a one trick pony. Whilst he has not won a WDC since leaving Benetton he has managed to win a considerable amount of races with an inferior car. Something Seb has yet to achieve. I am not saying he won't but until he leaves RBR and Newey we won't know for sure.

Vettel because of the car will always have doubt cast at his actual ability. History will record a remarkable German driver with at least 3 WDC's to his name. To be classed as a great he should move to another team such as Ferrari who I agree, all drivers aspire to drive for. Then at least the spell of a Newey design could be put to bed and people recognise the talent he has. The flip of that is, if he fails to register a WDC at his new team he will forever be damned as a one trick pony Newey luck boy! Personally I believe Alonso is his better and Hamilton whilst not as metronomic as Vettel, actually is a 'naturally faster racer. Vettel has a remarkable ability over all of them as 'consistent' in his racing. That's his skill for me. Allied with the RBR is a winning combination

F1 » Hamilton: The car felt fantastic today

Driving history goes from the sublime to the ridiculous with me. Hillman Imp Hillman minx 3.0 Capri Alfa sud Rs turbo 3x BMW 3 series including m3 Audi A4 sport R8 (which I have to say is just amazing) I've also driven an Aston DBS which I consider without peer as a sound and feel good factor. As for my age Tai, well I'm 46 years young

F1 » Alonso: Second tastes like victory

Vettel is a very good driver blighted by the fact the Adrian Newey design is all conquering. The Red Bull is so good that doubts remain about Vettel's actual ability. He won't mind as the history books will show a remarkable young German will have won 'x' amount of driver championships. I'd love to see him in a Ferrari with Alonso or a Merc with Hamilton and see what minerals he really has.

Richard. I actually watched the top gear show on 'Dave' the other day about Lancias. Some DD tanks made it ashore which in itself is truly astonishing for its day. Hobarts funnies also made an amazing impact and would have saved many American lives at Omaha had they accepted the option. Re Hillman imp! Grotesque in everyway but so much fun as a first car! Carbon Fibre? The 'in' technology for strength, rigid ness with the light appeal attached. Suffice to say, as I have been censored on here before, we make 'specified' components for several F1 teams. As for shelf life. If you left a disc in a cupboard of a house, the house will have crumbled away to nothing whilst the disc would still maintain day 1 associated spec. However, given the use for such technology, high speed, variation in temperature and so on, human error will erode such fail safes. Personally I've been to Germany where they in conjunction with The Brits are starting to improve current standards. EFA (RAF Typhoon)
