MotoGP » Davide Brivio (Suzuki MotoGP) - Q&A

Both Dani and Marc's contract (IIRC) expire at the end of 2014. Same goes for Lorenzo. If Marquez turns out to be the second coming, Suzuki very well could bring Dani over. Dani carries with him Red Bull money, which if played well could be the title sponsor for Suzuki. With Red Bull money backing Suzuki and Dani at the helm it very well could be a competitive package. Championship probably not, but competitive none the less. Rossi won't risk another embarrassment with Suzuki. He's having a hard enough time keeping up with his current teammate. Unless they open up the tire war and allow special tires it just isn't going to happen.

MotoGP » Rossi and Yamaha 'growing up' every race

I don't think Val has lost anything. I don't think age has anything to do with it. I think the competition has moved on. Jorge and Dani have grown into these precision riders, making very few mistakes. Val has never had to contend with riders like this in the past. Marquez is learning every session what it takes to hang with JL & DP, and soon this kid is going to learn how to replicate that precision riding.

MotoGP » Dovizioso hoping for new frame at Catalunya MotoGP

@ fastfisheye The control tyre in MotoGP came in as a result of Bridgestone getting more and more dominant to the point where even Rossi with the overnight special Michelins could not match the Ducati. Dorna changed the rules in 2007 that did not allow overnight specials, essentially leveling the playing feild for tire manufacturers. The tire suppliers had a certain allocation they could bring to the track and had to choose which compounds were going to be used for that race. Bridgestone did not have the luxury of overnight specials at all of the tracks, mainly the European rounds. I wonder why no one complained when Michelin dominated the championship?
