MotoGP » The MotoGP penalty points list

sensible move to carry forward previous year's penalty points... Phillip island's leuky heights and sepang back straight looked bizarre in final minutes of moto3 qualifying... many riders lost precious time going for a last gasp attempt... it was dangerous aswell specially in leuky heights where ascend up in blind corner...

some people say his popularity got him this poll win But I say look at his Ducati years, he was voted 10th and 11th, he wasn't any less popular by then. His popularity is just an added bonus but he truly deserves this win. If you want the top spot for Marc just because he had maximum number wins this season with 10 on a bounce then in a larger picture you could never say Marc is better than Rossi until Marc wins his 8th premier class titles with 6 on the bounce. Remember only the number counts and nothing else. Because weakness of Yamaha in first half was ignored to give maximum credit to Marc by fans.

@crashnetdummies you are brainless dummy... its not about records, Marc was strong since his debut. maintaining momentum is different from making a comeback. It's not just about number of wins, it's about character and attitude he showed. This poll is not to find out the person who gave best result in the grid. its about who managed to make the most out of what was available to them. This is star of the year poll not championship standings, here off track moments also matter. Go relax yourself... Don't mess your peace by over thinking...

caferacer: So i guess we all know who's the 2 and 1 ryte...
Yes. And prepare for many pages of arguing as to why "those 2" should have been ranked differently. T-minus and counting....
For God sake this is Dovi's thread and first few comments are already about the other two... I guess a major heart break is on the way for a lot of fans tomorrow...

Some fools claim Marc had no machine advantage because Dani on same was not good enough... If Abraham was Marc's teammate then he would not even have a top10 finish, Will that mean Marc won races with inferior bike? Idiots understand both Honda riders ride same bike but both of them Don't have equal potential... BTW from when did Dani become the yardstick of Honda's performance..? whose fault is that if Dani is unable to get the best out of what he has?

crashnetdummies: Marquez' record setting season should've been #1 and by a wide margin but it's true Rossi was the best of the rest in 2014 too, quite an achievement for a racer who has nothing left to prove. So hats off VR for a great year, your fanboys are out to lunch though.
Yes he made a lot of records and world championship standings clearly explains what Marc did. Here we take circumstances and factoring affecting results into consideration not just numbers... did You understand that?? don't come again to cry louder to waste space in page...

Lot of people here want Marc to win the poll just because he won 10 in a row despite the weakness of Yamaha in opening rounds... according to them 10 in a row is surely incredible no matter what kind of opposition he faced and what kind of troubles their opposition had... but Rossi won 5 titles in a row those same people cried about lack of competition and bike advantage he had... personally I wish to see Rossi win the poll just because rediscovering one's form against improved rivals, defying the doubts he had over himself is a completely different ball game from ruining with momentum carried from last year... more over Rossi still manages to keep the crowd on their feet on the mere sight of him...
