MotoGP » MotoGP, Moto2 practice switch ‘interesting test’

Hey guys give it a glance through Mugello 2014 race preview in motomatters.com,, they explained in it how marc is allowed by Honda team to use his moto2 techniques in motogp bikes,, he isn't actually adopting his riding style but adopting the bike to his style,, last year smith was asked to keep the rear tyre more inline like how Lorenzo does,, but after seeing marc, pol now has requested tech3 to use moto2 techniques and he got allowed to do that,, this goes on to explain why marc and pol were upto speed quicker than Smith,, basically going into a corner little bit sideways pol is allowing his rear tyre to move around than other yamaha riders in few years and is showing good results,, there is a talk that yamaha is exploring it's option to drift away from inline corner entry and enter corner more like a honda,, that is why they are allowing pol to do that now,,

MotoGP » Marquez 'nearly crashed in every corner'

Both had the pace to disturb each other but neither had the pace to break away from each other,, marc arrived at Lorenzo's rear and knew he can't relax because a break in slip stream would mean the two cant avoid Rossi closing from behind who was not so slow,, same time he also doesn't want to fight early and disturb lorenzo's rythm as a battle would clearly benefit riders behind to close the gap,, he was smart enough to wait and shadow behind Lorenzo untill they both opened up a convincing gap from Rossi,, Rossi's 300th was so hard for him,, costly errors in QP & WUP,, despite all Rossi came close but then Marc's brilliant strategy made sure Rossi won't get any help or chance to get close to the leaders,, To me Valentino was kept down to 3rd by marc's strategy and Lorenzo was beaten down to 2nd by marc's brave riding...

MotoGP » ‘Great emotion’ as Rossi returns to Mugello podium

Everybody missed a big point regarding Rossi's 3rd place,, when everybody were fine tuning their race setup in warmup Rossi was struggling with transmission issues in his first bike,, he ended up finishing 3laps with his spare bike,, didn't know which bike he used in race but unable to use his first bike in warm up is seriously a huge potential loss as far as final tweaking in race setup goes,, we know that Rossi usually does find some important steps in WUP,, final few setting tweaks made in WUP has often changed the fortunes in race,, considering this Rossi's 3rd place just 2.6 seconds behind is very impressive,, I would say an epic Mugello win from 4throw was made impossible by WUP issues...

@ VKal Did you hear marc saying that "I had to push a lot because if Lorenzo pulls away to breaks the slip stream then Rossi will catch me" Marc didn't say this without a reason,, look at the lap analysis,, top 3 had similar pace in all sectors except in the last sector because that's were the slip stream plays crucial role,, Rossi constantly lost atleast 0.2 seconds in that section,, Rossi had the pace to catch them both if they both were not in each other's slip stream,,

MotoGP » ‘Great emotion’ as Rossi returns to Mugello podium

Some people posting here are pure idiots... I am very happy to see Lorenzo performing like this,, but all of a sudden they start to doubt VR'S potential against JL... He finished some 2.3sec behind winner,, that is approximately 0.1 every lap,, you guys need to remember he was losing atleast 0.3 to leaders in home straight who were in each other's draft, he was making up around 0.1 or 0.2 every lap in the infield even after spending some tyres in early charge... People say Rossi lost the race in QP mistake,, but I say he recovered fully to fight for a win but fell short by a very little margin in early laps when he arrived at 3rd,, he went as close as 1.1 second behind marc,, half a second quicker would have got Rossi in marc's slip stream,, Head lines would have been different... Half a second made all the difference,, Pure Legend so close even after series of tragic problems during qp and wup...

MotoGP » Marquez beats Lorenzo in epic Mugello battle

@ dazza0501 Qualifying error can't be used as excuse... Errors happen,, the thing is how good they make up to those errors,, Rossi made a fantastic job,, nothing short of amazing riding,, Remember he used up more tyres and fuel in early charge,, then was losing 0.3 sec a lap in home straight but was making up for it in infield,, Also remember Lorenzo and Marc got towed by each other in the straight and Rossi didn't have one... In a circuit with a mile long straight tow makes such a big difference...
