MotoGP » MotoGP Valencia - Free Practice (2) Results

we have seen this before.... not new to see Rossi struggling in Friday afternoon... Another thing to note is all four front runners didn't improve from their morning time which means they are all working on race pace... Situation is Lorenzo needs to beat everyone and it will be enough for Rossi to beat anyone to podium... Still work to be done but I believe Rossi has enough in him to secure his position in standings...

MotoGP » Dovizioso to conclude best Ducati season since Stoner

Rossi was pushing all the time even with Ducati... he wasn't cruising around to get the pay check... thing is he didn't want to change his riding style to suit when Ducati was adamant to keep their developing philosophy without changing... both takes the blame... either one should have made the initiative to adjust and adopt to eachother... neither did...

Remember Rossi had no benefits compared to main rivals in his days in Ducati... to add more Rossi had the burden of expectation and burden of explaining to the questions of critics and sometimes even to baitings...on the other hand it was full of praise for Dovi throughout the season for riding that Ducati in a great way... Dovi had extra soft tyres which made sure he had Good grid positions, clear track or track with less traffic in front in race, more chance to tow a fast rider in race and still end up only 20 points more than what Rossi managed in more level playing field, Who had the task of cutting through traffic every race. But still haters give one reason why they bashed Rossi is because of what JB said about that 80 seconds...

Add more to that... like stoner said Rossi and JB approached Ducati with bad attitude... they always tried to change the bike and Rossi never thought of adopting his riding style to suit the bike... When Ducati also didn't want to change the Rossi Ducati pair was caught in egoistic stalemate and the result is no improvement in bike and result... Its not the question about ability to adopt and ride a different bike because Rossi demonstrated that he can adopt his riding style to match renewed level of competition on a radially very different M1 from what he left behind in 2010. IMO it is all down to faith. He knew if he takes two steps towards adopting to the bike then Yamaha will atleast one step to change it for Rossi... that kind of faith never existed between Rossi and Ducati for whatever reasons...
