MotoGP » Pedrosa: It was a day to forget

What seriously keeps him going at this level after so many below par seasons?? He has the talent and skills but not the intensity to keep his form going for a full season, Lorenzo is a fine example of how to keep the intensity going, Rossi is an example on how to keep oneself motivated. He has achieved better than what more than 90% of riders in history have achieved, but his results doesn't do justice to the he bike he has for close to solid 10yrs. Yes I can't find a replacement for Dani in current grid, which doesn't automatically mean that he fully deserves it. Seriously I am not hating Dani, just tried to interpret what is happening...

Every time when Dani fails, it looks sad that people actually come here to convince others about Dani having the skills and talent to comeback strong next season. This happens every season. People come to Dani's thread to show off their warm side, it looks like people get the feel of helping the poor when they talk taking pity on Dani. It's not good for Dani's self image.

MotoGP » Espargaro: Looks like anything goes on last corner...

Rossi rides for passion and to enjoy the taste of victory... Sensational moves, headlines and glory come along the way automatically,, this guy Marc seems to ride with intentions to mimic or create sensational moves for glory and headlines,, hence is doing all crazy non-sense... Tried to mimic almost all of Rossi's iconic moves starting from jerez, catalunya and motegi to Laguna... Now this in Assen... He is longing for attention... He wants people to have him in that elite list like where Rossi is for few/many of the amazing moments. Don't be surprised if a neatly laid little run off appears in Assen chicane in few years for Marc to mimic this move as this move has already got sensational for Rossi. Doctor cuts the corner in sand dust and gravel while Marc cuts the corner on concrete surface...

Contd...Even more his decision to attack in last chicane was wrong totally, he spent 20 solid laps glued to Rossi's tail and got 0% chance to attempt a pass, with that he must have learnt that VR's line of defence approaching that chicane was brutally strong. Wrong place, Wrong plan, wrong person chosen. Rossi broke Marc's patience and that an desperate attempt, even if Marc reached the apex side by side he was not in perfect control, Rossi's bike was as smooth as ever while Marc's bike was clearly out of shape even before contact, then how could he still claim that he did a perfect corner according to plan, was going out of shape on corner entry the part of plan?? Rossi has the right on closing the door as much right as Marc has on diving up the inside. End of it.

Marc went there hot and braked very late deep near the apex dreaming he was going to block Rossi's line for second part of chicane, it was then he realised his line for first part of chicane was going to get blocked, it was too late to realize, no way back, his plan got busted so did his brain,, unlike Rossi, Marc had nothing at stake, decided to go for the kill and created the contact. What hurts Marc more is that Rossi cruised past the gravel without losing time or crashing. His dumbest of dumb plan was to cover the 2nd part without securing the first part,, foolish thing to do is to rehearsing the line for battle while he never knew what line other rider would take. It looked childish when he kept repeating that he made the perfect corner according to what he rehearsed in FP When situations don't remain the same always, he should have switched to planB. cont

Few think Rossi did that deliberately, he was surely aware about Marc who does the unthinkable, he might have anticipated something like that to happen, but waiting to make a contact and use that excuse to cut across gravel is surely not his primary objective. He had better things at stake, Rossi is not crazy like Marc to risk losing 20 or 25 solid points for additional 5 points. more importantly he had his title lead at stake as Lorenzo was breathing down on his neck in CS standings. Rossi completed his defence almost completely, he was only some 100mts away from completing it, that surely was a situational response... He did that cleanly because he was mentally prepared for something bizarre, which doesn't mean he planned for it...

ReaFan:
Realist:
ReaFan: its called a block pass, everyone does it virtually every overtake
you have to be AHEAD to accomplish a block pass. .
and whys that? because rossi still leaned on him, if it was the previous lap, Rossi would have picked the bike up and it would have been a good block pass.
so you pretty much expected Rossi to sit up and give way while Marc tries to barge his way past Rossi,,?? And you call that a "good block pass" Not just Marc, you fans won't learn anything too,, go sleep now... BTW ask Marc to choose a different man to execute his block pass from behind the next time...

ReaFan:
Block Pass - A manoeuvre in motorcycle racing where the overtaker takes an inside line which going faster than normal, to use the brakes to stop the bike mid corner forcing the overtaken rider to either roll off or sit up and go round the outside thus conceding the positon.as they touched while coming to the apex where Marquez was going to slow the bike down. clearly an attempted block pass, end of story.
Text book stuff, you clearly did a copy paste from somewhere and typed the last couple of sentences.
