MotoGP » Derek Minter: 1932-2015

Sad news. Derek was one of the great riders of that magical era. When I was a kid I had an EP if any of you are old enough to remember those, called Sound of Speed, they interviewed Minter about riding the works 50cc Itom racer followed by the sound of him screaming past on the little two-stroke, rowing it along on the gear lever. This guy owned Brands Hatch back in the day. Hard to beat on a Manx. R.I.P. Mint!

the only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars. Jack Kerouac, On the Road Jack is mad crazy about riding fast motorcycles. Love it! Hope he does great.

MotoGP » Yamaha: We have two riders that can beat Marc

Marquez has taken Moto GP racing to a new level. At the current time he is unstoppable and I just don't see this changing anytime soon. The Yam and the Honda are pretty well equal, they both have their strong points. Put MM on the Yam and he would still dominate, he just has that extra something. The only way anyone else is going to get a sniff at the championship is if he has a big off and hurts himself. It's gonna be like the schumacher era in F1. Totally dominant.
