MotoGP » Rossi: Stoner at Laguna my best battle

Pedrosa upset the applecart at Laguna 2009. All the Rossi fans came to see him repeat the win. When Pedrosa crossed the line a full 8 seconds ahead of Rossi, all three of the main grandstands were in TOTAL SILENCE. Rossi got beat! I have never, ever witnessed any race, anywhere, end in total silence. ..... well there was one guy cheering for Dani ...LOL

MotoGP » Rossi: Stoner at Laguna my best battle

If you were actually at Laguna in 2009, and I was, you will know Dani built a huge 8 second lead on Rossi that he held for many laps. Rossi could not catch him. Dani slowed up on the last lap to savor the victory. Of course Rossi fans will see this differently as they are so biased.....the fact is Rossi got spanked by Pedrosa at the very peak of Rossi mania!

MotoGP » Pedrosa perplexed after crashing twice at Sepang

The problem for you guys calling for Dani to retire is there is nobody to replace him. At the present time Dani is one of the top four riders in the world. Period. That's a fact, accept it. Does anyone really think Redding. Esparago(take your pick) Smith, Crutchlow et al. can ride at that level? Apart from the top four, Dovi is the next best rider and he had his shot with Honda and he couldn't match Pedrosa on any Sunday. Instead of calling for Pedrosa's head, maybe we need to take a look at some of the other riders to retire and bring some new young guys into the series. Hayden is well past his due date, Abraham, Crutchlow, Smith..None of these guys are capable of winning a GP, and Dani is!

MotoGP » Tyre analysis top of agenda for fastest Pedrosa

In my book Dani should have been World Champion in 2012. He had 7 wins against 5 wins from Lorenzo, 5 wins from Stoner and 0 wins from Rossi, FACT!!!! ...but at the end of the day Lorenzo took the title as he had a string of second places that ( like Hayden) pushed up his points to steal the crown. Dani lost the championship when he had a front brake seize up at the start line. He was on pole, but the team pushed the bike off the track so he had to start from the back of the pack. Kinda scuttled his championship right there and no fault of his own. He certainly is not the luckiest rider. Still 8th on the all time winners list is an amazing achievement. At the current time I don't see any of the current riders, including Redding ( whom I really like) replacing Dani... they are not at his level. Hey Dani just broke the track record in FP1 at Sepang. ...If Rossi did that we would never hear the end of it! And that's a fact!
