MotoGP » Valentino Rossi to split from crew chief Jerry Burgess

I'm impressed. I admire Rossi even more. It's very difficult to let go of a long time partner. A man whom he had shared a successful career with. Rossi is very brave to decide on this. In my opinion, though Burgess is a very good chief mechanic, he's already 60 and the fast changing electronic enhancements in motogp may be too much for him. This is a big step. A bold move. I just hope the replacement will be very good. This shows that Rossi still feels he has more left in the tank. He can challenge again for victory in every race. Great love for racing. But in order to achieve his goal, he must do some changes. This is why he came up with this very difficult decision.
