MotoGP » Official: Movistar returns to MotoGP with Yamaha

MotoM I stand corrected, I should have noted more interest in the brand. But if Yamaha has not had a title sponsor in a few years since his departure and now that he's in his second year back and they got a new sponsor then it's likely he's weighed into (even to some degree) the decision to sponsor the team. Also, RossL, as a fan of Rossi I agree he's no angel and has said and done some dumb things but overall he's been a good embassador to the sport, has been good to his fans, and has been humble for the most part.

MotoGP » PICS: Ducati’s 2014 MotoGP livery

Cal has gone a bit Rossi but can't blame him as it looks good. When Rossi went to Ducati with that color scheme I didn't think it would look good with Red but it grew on me and it looks decent. But color scheme aside, hopefully the silly new Motogp 2 or whatever it's being called won't cause a problem. I think Dorna should have left the manufacturer and open class rules alone for this season and waited to see if it was a big issue. I think they may had a knee jerk reaction. That all said let's hope Ducati is more competive this season, can't get much worse I guess.

MotoGP » VIDEO: Marc Marquez interview

Good point Sete. While he's odd's on favorite there are many things that can change and injuries can occur. Better way would have been to say something like, "I believe I have a great team, great bike and have the ability/talent to repeat again but it's a long season and I have many great competitors hungry to win as well. Let's see how it turns out but I promise to do my best for my team and fans." Okay a bit PRish but you get the point.

MotoGP » Rossi signs off with speedy simulation

As a Rossi fan since his days in the lower GP classes the thing I've liked about him is his hard work, determination, confidence and his abiltiy to have some fun and not be shy to show it. Has this latter part led him to say and do some things that aren't right, of course, but he's also been man enough to admit failures and to keep plugging along and not give up. All while maintaining a love for racing. As a polarizing figure in the sport that will bring fans and detractors which he has plenty of to the point that some other racers/detractors are probably jealous of. As a fan I sure hope he can be successful again before he decides to hang-up the leathers.

Guna I think that it's a combination of a new crew chief as that helps re-energize the team and possibly look at things a different way and hopefully a better way. Plus if Yamaha has made adjustments based on Rossi's input may have translated to changes that make Rossi more comfortable and confident in the bike. JB did a good job but I think he was a little long in the tooth as they say. I think Rossi still has a little left in the tank lets hope he can show that this year.

Joeski I agree with you that Rossi never lost it in terms of talent even when he was with Ducati. He may have lost a little confidence and a little gun shy due to past injuries but even last year you could see he was gaining some confidence back even though I'm sure he was hoping for better results. As he's gained back some confidence and has adjusted and got a little more comfortable with the current M1 you can see he's pushing a little more. Hopefully this will translate to a good season. In terms of Ducati I think it was a good idea to get Gigi and to make changes to the internal management as well to go open as that will help them advance or at least take advantage of the added fuel, engines and tires.
