WSBK » New WSBK champion Guintoli joins PATA Honda for 2015

No respect by Aprilia, they could have set up a factory supported team for their recently crowned Champion or at least offer him the second factory seat on MGP. While PataHonda had a good effort their bike is way too old to compete on a regular basis with the Kawi. Guinters has tallent so he'll be close to the podium as Rea was but without added direct Honda support I don't think it will be easy. Also, no word from Honda when they're coming out with a new superbike, as it hasn't changed significantly since 2008. But with the new R1 coming out this year my guess it will be 2016 when we'll see the new fireblade.

WSBK » Rea to make Kawasaki debut in Aragon

It's likely that Kawi will dominate next year as Aprilia factory has dropped out leaving a privateer to run the Aprilia effort. Will that effort get added support from the factory now that they're going to concentrate in MGP? I guess only Ducati will be challenging the Kawi boys with a lil'Honda with Guintoli as possible challengers for the podium. Has Suzuki or Yamaha committed significantly to WSB next year? As Yamaha is coming out with their new R1 have they noted a return to WSB and if so with who?

MotoGP » Aprilia: Pneumatic for Sepang, seamless to follow

I guess Aprilia is honest to their word that they entered 1 year early to develop the bike while racing in 2015. So to that end, it make sense they'll bring in technology during the season while developing the bike with an eyeo on the 2016 bike. However, I still don't like that they brought in Melandri as his antics in WSB he should not have gotten this seat. They really should have pushed to get A. Espargaro instead he went to Suzuki. The could have got a good up in coming Moto2 rider for the second seat. Too bad they couldn't convince Biaggi to come back for 1 or 2 years but I'm sure he's enjoying retirement too much.

MotoGP » Espargaro sets fastest ever Suzuki lap

Interesting discussion but if you want a spec level in Motogp look at Moto2 & 3 for the nearest thing. I agree with most that traction control should not be allowed but due to the power some level is needed. Hence the reason Dorna is going to a spec ECU in 2016. It will be interesting how they deal with the different bikes, I'd like to hear how they're accomplishing that on a technical level. But I guess that's why they've made the open level use them as part of the development process. However, if Moto2 is using a spec ECU/TC with the same Honda 600 engine and 1 brand tires and you still have riders rising to the top then it's team and rider that's the difference. When the ECU/TC reaches Motogp while some teams i.e. Honda and Yamaha will still have the advantage in equipment their top riders will still be top of the class but the hope is that talented riders on other manufacturers will get closer. We'll see in '16 if that's the case.

MotoGP » Marquez: New Honda needs change of direction

As Marquez is happy with the 2014 bike but likes some attributes from the 15 I'm sure Honda will make whatever changes they can to the '15 or modify the '14 bike into the bike that makes him happy even at the expense of his teammates comfort on his bike. No way would they make Marquez ride a bike he's not 100% comfortable with. So for those that think this is a positive for Yamaha think again.

MotoGP » Rossi gives thumbs-up to new chassis, swing-arm

Way to early for any predictions for 2015 but of course the top 4 from this year are likely to be the same or are they? If Pedrosa doesn't find his previous comfort level he maybe looking further down the order. Plus if you figure Ducati will get better and the satelite teams are always nipping at the toes of the top riders or at least number 4. But what I'm really looking forward to is the Rossi v. Marquez battle that I sure hope Vale wins. Again as it's too early we don't know if this will happen but one sure can hope.

MotoGP » Valencia MotoGP test times - Monday (Final)

Seeing Melandri on that list for Aprilia I guess means he's the 2nd Aprilia factory rider. Unless he's been asked to help as a test rider but if he was they'd note him as a test rider like they did with the 3rd Aprilia rider. In terms of test times it's awfully early to make any sense of them. I guess for new riders coming in you can get a little idea of how they compare to their teammates but these results may change as they get more testing in next year.
