MotoGP » Dovizioso: We have the chance to fight a little

I agree that Iannone is a beast and has the potential to eventually develop even further and become a title contender. Dovi, not so much... he had his shot at HRC and was completely outclassed by both Pedrosa and Stoner. Sure, he seems to have improved since but how can we be certain of that? Because Ducati hasn't been that fast since Stoner was riding it? I'm sorry but if that's your argument, it has no logic. Completely different bikes, running completely different tires and against completely different bikes from the other manufacturers. You can't really compare an 08-09 bike against anything we have now... And on top of that, Iannone is doing an even more amazing job seeing as he's on a satellite team. If you want to pretend the bikes didn't change that much, remember what the other Pramac riders were achieving on that 'same' bike and Iannone's year becomes even more of a standout.

F1 » Smedley ‘would love’ to retain Massa/Bottas

superdowg316: (cont.).. Most likely McLaren, as it's his former team, a team that's brought him up and Honda will draw links to Senna, a big plus for him. This will be a highly curious and interesting off season and driver lineups are either going to change a lot or very little at all.
Didn't quite understand the Senna reference there... are you saying he would choose to drive for McLaren because Senna used to drive for them using a Honda unit? Bit far fetched if that's the case.

ZEDX: You took the words right out of my mouth.. yes, sounds like he is voicing HIS opinion knowing that mumblings/whispers are going-on suggesting otherwise! Bottas was/is Toto's "protege" so he (Toto) could possibly have some notion that should Hamilton stomp off in a temper, he could bring Bottas in... or do a swap.. that would make more sense than Button to Williams. Could also be that Frank & Clare are casting-around for a Massa replacement (?)
I still think it's unlikely Williams will move Massa unless his making way for Nasr. I just learned the other day that Brazil is the country with the biggest F1 audience in the world... surely they wouldn't want to lose that. Bottas for Hamilton in the other hand does make sense... although we all know Hamilton will see it as a downgrade (rightfully so) and will spit the dummy big time.

allan.c.martin: cant help but feel Williams will have Bottas snatched from them
I guess that will depend on how good the Honda units are... if they're good, watch out Williams 'cause they're will be new players out there and Bottas will then be in very high demand. It's highly unlikely Williams will be in a position to beat Mercedes anytime soon and Bottas has the potential to be a champion... he won't stay if they can't give him a WDC car. Also, if Mercedes drops one of its drivers, Bottas looks to me like the most interesting option by far. RBR will never let go of the other great option which would be Ricciardo.

superdowg316: Hamilton is always comparing himself to Senna, as any successful F1 driver would compare himself to the greats. Senna is his hero, often known for driving the McLaren Honda. What better way to replicate his idol than to drive a McLaren Honda to a championship or more? Like it or not he would, depending on how the partnership goes, he could be remembered alongside his hero for being a great driver who took a McLaren Honda to championships.
Hmmm not sure who would remember him alongside Senna... Other than the color of the helmets I seriously can't see any similarities. Senna was clinically fast and dominating day in and day out. Hamilton, as talented as he is, still has A LOOOOT to show to deserve that comparison and driving the same car/engine combo to a championship is not really the missing link.
