MotoGP » Marquez: Difficult to maintain this gap

I just pray to Whatever looks after Moto GP riders that his luck holds and doesn't hurt himself again. There were times with 'Deathwish' Stoner when I could barely watch. MM's a far better rider than the the onanistic Oz, but I fear for some of the moves when he's got something juvenile to prove. VR's giving him space right now, for reasons very well put by other people on other threads on Crash, but if he falls into the claws of the pack - Bautista who goes bonkers at the chance of a dig at someone better than him, Dovi who is in awe of no-one on the planet, including himself, and Bradl who would kill for a podium, no error, plus some, he might find himself rubber-side-up and/or dirt-tracking. If it wasn't so patently strange, I would say that VR is actually tutoring the guy, the way Federerer used to throw games, even sets, to keep the crowd interested and his opposition hot with hope. This is one time I hope it doesn't rain - it's a great track in the dry, but the surface going fr

F1 » Vettel beats Hamilton to Korea pole

It hurts me to say it because I detest the guy, but even with a technically superior car you've still got to drive the thing and BogeyFinger does just that. There may just be some backlash when the other manufacturers catch up technically - Vettel's been handing out free advanced driving lessons for a couple of years now, honing the skills of the rest of the field to a fine edge. Alonso, in particular, has pulled off some amazing drives in a car that simply doesn't have the moxie. The Mechanical Hamilton's had to grow up a bit quick, too - not a bad thing at all. He'll go on to rallying or soapboxing or something a more rounded and chastened character. But my money's with Raikonnen, both ways, for next year. Praying for rain to make a race of it, otherwise I'll just put the lap timing on the bottom bar and do something interesting, like work on an interminable book on the weather in the 16th centry I'm editing right now........

MotoGP » Aragon MotoGP - Race Results

All the usual weary b-lox about Rossi, very little analysis of several fascinating dices (did Dani really lose a vital sensor bri#ushing Marc? Says a lot about modern racing if he did). Some wonderful, win-it-or-bin-it moves for third - and the 11 seconds isn't written on the podium, titburger and roufinger. If Rossi can't put it on the podium, no-one can. And I can just see you sad little people jacking in a job that's paying millions do what you love best because someone younger might - and only might - be better at it. Get a life, watch the racing and stop drowning in your own bitter effluent. I went to church just before the race to pray for our souls, and our souls was just what I got here.
