MotoGP » Hard work, dirt track behind Rossi ‘rejuvenation’

cossiegaz: Don't think there's been a rejuvenation really, all that happened was he left Yamaha and got on a worse bike, now he's back on a factory Yamaha and he qualifies badly and occasionally has a good race, Lorenzo has been caught off guard by the tyre changes which is what has made Rossi seem better, the determination is still there and i think on a good day he will be capable of taking a challenge to Marquez, but the current Rossi is far from the dominant Rossi of the past.
Of course he's far from the dominant Rossi of the past, but that doesn't take anything away form the impressive comeback and great form he's showing this year..

MotoGP » Valentino Rossi talks finger injury

I shall pray tell. Smith has ridden throughout most of this year with a much worse finger injury yet I can't recall even a single instance when either he or any other posters have used this as an excuse for his performance. All this weekend we have heard the usual bleating from Rossi fans about how he could win at Brno. Go Rossi & all that, rah rah rah. When the result tomorrow is Marquez, Lorenzo, Pedrosa, with Rossi some way back in either 4th or 5th (or lower), I'll be interested to count how many times Rossi fans post about the finger injury slowing him down. Like you, just curious.
I haven't read that anywhere. I don't think any Rossi fan expects him to win. Yet AGAIN a Rossi hater making things up to justify their hatred. Enjoy the race pal, I hope for your sake Rossi performs poorly, as it seems it's the only reason you'll enjoy the race...
Amen :)

MotoGP » Marquez masters elements to match Ago at Assen

Tomco: Ago was a good rider and he proved that against Hailwood at the TT. But the fact is that Ago and Hailwood and the other factory riders had no real competition. They were racing against guys who made their own bikes and maintained them in their garden sheds. Ok an exageration but not far from the truth. Marquez is arguably the best rider theres ever been. My previous list included Roberts, Spencer, Stoner etc. Different eras and hard to make the comparison but hes definately right up there.
The rider who is the all time record holder is a "good" rider. Yeah, sure..

MotoGP » Dovizioso: Marquez should try to win every race

Realist: I hope that MM wins every race from pole this year just to set a standard that can never be broken, only matched.
Ago won 3 years in a row ALL the races he started!! 5 years in a row he won all ALL the races he finished! He did the same wins in a row also competing in the smaller classes, in the same years!! The records are all there, and tough to break.

MotoGP » ‘Great emotion’ as Rossi returns to Mugello podium

titfortat: This race confirmed to me more than any that he just is too old now, the young guys are just too fast for him and he will never compete for wins again.
This post won't be popular, and maybe he might fight for a win again, but still it's overall true. He's not too old to be competitive, but he's missing those 2-3 tenths per lap that would make him a constant win contender. In this case it was T4, but it's always those few tenths missing that would allow him to bring the fight to MM. It's not a critique, it's actually amazing Vale is still there and still so hungry after all this time. As often said, a pure legend.

MotoGP » Italian MotoGP - Race Day LIVE!

lux: That's it. The only one who could take it to Marquez in this field is Valentino Rossi. But 10 years ago's Rossi. As it is now MM just seems unbeatable.
Sorry. The only 1 who can take it to marquez is Jorge. Mugello and rossi couldn't keep up! Race of year from 2 best riders in moto gp
This was Jorge's track and he lost. If he can't win here, he can't beat MM in any other track. Have you read what I said about VR? I said he only had a chance if he was 10 years younger. Now not anymore. Great race anyway, didn't expect Jorge to fight back so hard!
