MotoGP » POLL: Who will win the 2015 MotoGP title?

Liam94: I'd love Rossi to do it, I just don't see it happening. Almost all of Rossi's favourite tracks have already been and Lorenzo dominated him at all of them. Once you get to Silverstone, Aragon etc I don't think Rossi will be able to stick with Jorge. And Marquez now much happier with his bike is close enough to still be a realistic champion. I think it will be Jorge but I wouldn't be surprised if Marc grabs another title.
I think there are quite a bit of tracks Vale likes, or am I wrong.. ?

Yes but his best tracks over the years have been Jerez, Catalunya, Mugello, Le Mans, Assen, Misano, Philip Island etc. Most of them have all gone, and only one of the ones that has gone has Rossi beaten Lorenzo at. Tracks like Silverstone, Aragon, Valencia I'd expect Jorge to beat Rossi. They're all tracks Rossi generally doesn't go well at and tracks that Jorge normally goes very well at.
Misano, Philip Island are yet to come..

MotoGP » Big accident takes Casey Stoner out of Suzuka lead

Husky93:
lux: I wonder... To avoid the crash wouldn't have been an option to just pull the clutch so the power wouldn't go to the wheel ?
Try doing that, the next time you ride a bike at lean and speed, you don't ride a bike do you ? The bike would just stand up and go straight on, in this case into a barrier. Have to say that is the most stupid comment I have ever read on here, that is saying something.
And yours is the rudest I've read so far, and that's also something to say. As a matter of fact, he DID try to pull the clutch in an effort to stop the power (probably too late though). Jokes on you..

MotoGP » Rossi ‘recovery’: Final 10% was the hardest

ondablade: If they consistently maximised their potential VR wouldn't these days get a look in - but the fact is that they don't and so there's a race for the championship.
Man, sorry, but can't you see how nonsense your point is? The argument can just go both ways: IF Rossi maximed his potential any time, and I"m talking about THIS old Rossi, not the dominant one you're always referring to, he'd STILL win 95% of the races, as proven by the fact that when he DID maximize it, he ran record lap races and record race times (again, THIS year, not his dominant 2000's years).

MotoGP » Rossi ‘recovery’: Final 10% was the hardest

SkyWilk: Well for sure that was a good recovery to form. But please Valentino, we all know that Bridgestone also "helped" when they introduced the harder less edged grip tires. I will be crucified for this, but the truth is to be told.
And they "helped" Lorenzo when they re-introduced the softened edge while there were no safety reasons at all for re-adapting the new tyres to a single rider.

MotoGP » Rossi ‘recovery’: Final 10% was the hardest

VegasRyder:
Yep, and on top of... I'm biased of course, yet I think rationally speaking we can probably say Rossi is (one of if not THE) main reason Yamaha got back to winning ways. It's only with Rossi that Yamaha mustered the money and skills to rebuild a good bike and managed to get Lorenzo, the first 250 championship winner to join Yamaha since... Ages. Without Rossi, Honda would have (most likely) kept dominating year in year out. And prolly Yamaha would have kept languishing with Kawasaki and Suzuki.

MotoGP » Lorenzo: It’s like tennis…

Liam48: As Mat Oxley stated in his blog today, tyres could decide the outcome of this years championship and I believe with the edge grip tyres then it will swing in favour of Lorenzo over Rossi.
Agreed. As a Rossi fan, it's worrying to be honest. Why Bridgestone should they modify their tire just to adapt to one rider.. ?
